This is the biggest scam of a rental company that i have ever come in contact with. Literally THE WORST! Very rude, unprofessional, not timely at all, inconsistent & inconsiderate!
We moved out in December and out of $750 security deposit, they managed to take it all AND say that we owe them $80.
We were charged $100 for exterior clean up for the leaves being on top of the roof, in the gutters, and in the yard. Keep in mind that there are three very large trees right beside the house that have grown up and over the house. In order for there to not have been any leaves and or broken limbs in the
yard or on the roof, the company or the owner of the house needs to invest in getting those tress cut down. One of these trees has also kept the neighbor's yard in a mess over the past year as well. Next, they charged us $400 to repair small holes in the wall (from nails), when a small tub of spackling paste is less than $10. Also keep in mind that i have pictures of the walls , and small holes in the walls from different things that had been hung on the walls and were not filled nor painted prior to us moving in. So were the people that lived there before me charged $400 for the exact same thing
that they did not repair?
Next, there was a fee for carpet cleaning and also a fee for general cleaning/cleaning of the appliances when these same things had to be cleaned by ME, prior to moving in because they were not done by the company nor the last tenants. I had also called them several times after I did a walk through of the property before moving in to let them know that the carpet nor the property had been cleaned properly. I had to go out and rent my own rug doctor to clean the carpet because I had a small crawling age child.
We were also charged an $80 fee and a $100 pet agreement fee for what they assumed were signs of a dog scratching at the back kitchen door. We do not own any pets and we never have.(i can have any of the neighbors vouch for this). I have children with eczema(which was stated to Foskey Properties when i asked for them to have someone to come out and clean the carpet before we moved in) and one that is allergic to dogs. And to be clear, we do have pictures of the walls and paint being chipped off by the doors, prior to us moving in. There are many things in the house that need to be repaired and or replaced, starting with the carpet. After a thorough cleaning of the carpet, some of those exact same stains came back up. The AC went out several times (many weekends)during our stay in the house and since Foskey Properties
doesn't have an emergency maintenance line, we have had to be an inconvenience to others while staying with them until we could get in touch with Foskey Properties. Also, when our refrigerator went out over the weekend and all of our food went bad, I was told "That i should have gotten a cooler" to place my food in, which was far too much food to be placed into one cooler. We had to do an insurance claim to get our food replaced. We were also charged an extra 10% on top of our September rent because it was received after the 1st, after it was clearly explained to them that I lost my father on September 1st, which was a Friday and it was the Labor Day holiday so the rent was sent off that Tuesday when the post office opened back up. (There is no grace period. Rent has to be post marked by the 1st or there is an automatic 10% added to your rent). So after paying them $850 every month, ON TIME might I add, for them to have us pay an extra $85 after knowing the situation is piss poor customer service! And for them say that we owe them $80 is baffling. We have lived in many different places and rented plenty of times before being that we are prior military and has been the worst company/business to we have ever had to deal with.
They are all about money, but they don’t fix anything.. they just patch until it breaks again & you have to call them back.
