Good day. I applied back in August 2024 and arrived on 6 Jan 2025. I did not receive any offers until I went into the office and spoke with Ms. Latoria. She told me there was a 30 day waiting period and assisted me with finding a home to best fit my family and needs. I would like to shout her out and hope she continues being an awesome staff member and reliable employee for housing.

I'm not sure what number people are calling, but I've gotten an answer every single time.

4 stars, because even after signing an offer, I have to wait 30 days. I believe that's extensive giving that I put an application in since August. It doesn't meet the timeline for my family, but I'm willing to wait.

Constantly fighting mold and nothing actually being done about it. We have made work orders and people come out to “clean” it and cover. Newest place is our bathroom behind the wall and they sprayed it with “mold cleaner” and covered it back up. I’m dealing with chronic unexplained health issues since moving into this house and I’d like to think it’s not because of this environment. We pay over $2,000 a month to live here and for what? Maintenance orders are not completed to any sort of standard. Our HVAC unit sprays debris all over our house and that still hasn’t been fixed. If you can live off base just do it.

Maintainance locked us out of our home after coming in the house while we weren't present and they were told not too. When calling to get let in our house because our keys were locked in. We had to put in a work order and was told they were installing a refrigerator and we were not of importance. Terrible maintainace and the houses are falling apart and the there is no type of urgency to fix the issues. By the way we ended up waiting over an hour and had to break a window screen to get in through our window just to let a civilian work crew in to fix the molded hole in our roof that been there for 5 months and finally got civilians to come fix it after 5 work orders. Fort stewart housing is Terrible!!!!

We came to them, in desperate need of housing.
We were previously renting through VHS financial and living in mold and our house was flooding 3 times a month, with a newborn on the way, that wasn’t just going to work. Xavier got us in, quickly and smoothly, and I am amazed at how awesome our unit is! Seriously, compared to what we were previously in this unit is literally luxurious! Thank you Fort Stewart Housing! We appreciate it dearly.

Maintenance is very poorly managed. Residents have to follow up / remind / manage Maintenance if they hope to get anything done. We have had 2/3 toliets constantly running with one leaking since we moved in a month ago. No one has come to fix them. I have followed up 3 times. Each time the Maintenance rep tells me they will fix it in 2-3 days or the same day. Each time no one comes. Secondly, our dishwasher stopped working 3 weeks ago. The first time, someone came to look at it then left without explanation. After calling again another person came, looked at it and said they have to order a new one. we followed up a third time (today) and found out that they are tracking any ordered dishwashers and that the rep would "look in the back to see if they have one, and let us know in about a week".

I originally posted a review pretty scared about not having a housing offer 3 weeks out from our cross-country move. When you have 3 young kids and nowhere for them to go it can be absolutely terrifying. It took a few tries but once I got ahold of a representative at the housing office they were extremely kind and understanding. My family does not have to worry anymore because we were offered a house in our desired neighborhood for a few short days after we get there.

We are extremely grateful for having a home for our family to move into.

Thank you!

Theyre going to charge you for everything. They don't properly seal the homes so there are bugs, humidity is a major problem and there's plenty of mold to go around. God forbid you move out and have trash, you can expect a $75 charge for trash that was going to get picked up anyway. Getting put of the army? Better get put of your home if you plan to clear. No time to move just get out. Not their problem. Live off post.

Accepted an offer on a house at the middle of April w a move in date of May 14. On May 14 I had an appointment at 10am for the walk through and got to the house at 945. Waited there til 1020 and called the office and to ask if I was supposed to go to the house or meet them at the office. They then told me they had to move my move in date back to the 17. Cool, whatever. On the 16 right before they closed for the day they sent me a email saying they had to push my move in date back again to the 24. At this point I asked them to move it back to june 7th because I was going on leave… surely enough time for them to fix everything and get it inspected right ? Nope. On the 6 of June, again the day before I’m scheduled to move in, they sent another email saying they needed to push it back to the 28 of June and failed to give a reasoning. I went up there and talked to the lady in charge and she called the contractors with me present and the contractors told her that the house had been ready for weeks and that I would be able to move in in the coming days. Come to find out, this was incorrect information because the next day, I get a call stating that the AC needs to be replaced. All of this being said, there is a major disconnect between the housing office and the contractors and the maintenance teams. No one is on the same page. No one knows what the other is doing and no one seems to be able to get the correct information to the next. Instead of being into a house a month ago like originally planned, I don’t have a single solitary clue as to when I’ll be in a house. The staff is friendly, but being friendly doesn’t deter the fact that no one is on the same page and they do not seem to care.
