Andy & his team were great! I used First Choice for 2 years renting in the Charleston area before buying a home. They were always extremely responsive and professional. My dryer broke & Andy helped arrange for someone to come out and fix it ASAP. When I moved out, I had no issues with getting back the majority of my security deposit with no shady charges. I purchased my house in Goose Creek, SC when I was stationed there. I now live in Louisiana, so miles away from the house. It was a nightmare to try to manage this house by myself because I didn't know anybody there and living miles away made it very difficult to go check on it.

I am very happy that I decided to hire Andy to manage this property. Andy has been managing my house for over 2 years now. He takes care of ALL issues including the HOA fees, bills, complaints or whatever it maybe. HOA sends everything to him directly, and Andy filters it out and sends me things that I should be aware of.

In addition, Andy makes things a lot easier for me and cut down on mailing time because I live in Louisiana. Andy personal go to Navy Federal bank and deposit the monthly rent into my account and it shows up in my checking account immediately. I can't ask for a better service.

Yes, just like everything else, things break and need repair or replacement. Andy will call around to plumbers, electricians, or whoever prior to calling me with the issues. When Andy calls me, he has the problem and cost, so it's easy for me to tell him to go ahead to fix the issue or call a few other places. It saves me a lot of time because I don't need to find a phone book and I definitely don't know their reputation.
Andy also keeps track of all the expenses and sends me a form at the end of the year. This makes it easy for me to claim it on my tax. I don’t have to keep track of the expenses.
I'm very happy with Andy and thankful that I found him to manage my house. Thanks Andy for the great service.

Our experience with Andy Hansborough at First Choice Real Estate was really great! He helped us in buying two houses. Both of those tasks proved fairly difficult for various reasons, but he stayed patient and informative the whole way through. He was not only patient, but his knowledge of the market as well as construction was INVALUABLE as we moved through the process. Throughout our interactions with him I never felt pressured to reach a decision, instead he took the time and effort to research and substantiate his recommendations with facts and shared his opinions. At every home viewing Andy would walk us through pros and cons of each property providing us a balanced view to help us make a sound decision. He always acted in favor of our interests to the point of actually saving us money for the houses we bought in late 2013 and this year. Andy was quick to respond to emails or was just a phone call away for clarifications on every aspect of the home and has always been very accommodating of our work schedules. The most delightful experience was the fact that we only had to show up for the house tours, inspections and the final agreement signing. He was also incredibly responsive to ALL of our questions and needs (and we had plenty). He's about finding the right fit for the buyer, not just making a sale and moving on. I would ABSOLUTELY use Andy Hansborough again. I recommend him to anyone who wants to have a great person looking out for them during this challenging process. I can guarantee a similar experience that we had with him to anyone looking to buying or selling.

From day 1 we were treated horribly, My wife and I felt looked down upon and felt like we were nothing but a waste of their time. We were charged a double deposit for no reason at all, but thats not the worst part, suddenly on our latest rental agreement almost $500 of our deposit is missing, our rent has been raised TWICE with out the proper 15 day notice as well as Andy lied to my face about first speaking to the property owner about the first raise. When ever we have any problems and call Andy he either doesn't call us back or NEVER "Gets Around" to helping us and we have to go bother the property owner.

Word of warning: AVOID doing business with Andy and First Choice at all cost. Don't get stuck in our mistake!

Andy hires the most shady people to work on my house. I wanted some things done before new tenants moved in. When I drove by i saw all the workers just hanging around. I watched them for 20 minutes just doing nothing. On surprised none of them walked off with anything. I'm almost sure he's charging ms a ton extra, paying the shiftless workers peanuts and pocketing the rest for clearly shoddy work.
