Jean at Entertainment Mortgage was recommended to me by a friend who works in the Entertainment industry. She was smart, kind, and incredibly responsive. One of the biggest benefits to Jean, however, was that she understands how to handle getting a mortgage for a client who works in the industry and may not have "steady" or "consistent" employment on paper, even though they are steadily employed. She also understands her clients, and was very thoughtful in her communications - both in what to let us know and how to tell us. I cannot say enough good things about Jean. All I can say is, though I really hope to be in my forever home, if I do have to buy a new house, I really want to work with Jean again.

Jean has always been a consummate straight-to-the-point and honest professional and I could not appreciate this more. As a real estate agent, I always had other contacts to refer my clients to, however when my brother and sister-in-law started looking for their home, they needed a lender who understood the entertainment industry and the idiosyncrasies of my brother-in-law’s income. Going through the process was so unbelievably easy and FAST, a word that is never used to describe a lender in general, much less, a lender dealing with non-W2 income! I was blown away by how fast and clean Jean was, so when it was my time to personally use a lender, I had to use Jean for myself. Since my husband is also in the entertainment industry, it was a perfect way to test out if Jean’s speed was a one-time experience or if that was simply the way she operates. Needless to say, Jean worked her magic again and executed another equally fast loan approval/closing process. The financial realities of working as a freelancer in the film industry are complex (with incomes varying wildly from month to month) and this is where Jean truly shines. She speaks the language and is able to be the perfect liaison between the entertainment industry and the lending industry. We truly did not think we would qualify until we talked to her, and the process was fast, seamless, and thoroughly pleasant.
