These photos are from Burlington Commons. This complex is only three years old and has never been tended to or upkept by any of the employees. The black stuff on the walls in the breezeways is said to be black mold (by a maintenance man). Management have received many complaints from myself and others going as far back as 1 1/2 years ago. The only thing taken seriously here seems to be the rent. We just got a new property manager (3rd one in 2 1/2 years) who we’ve submitted our complaints to as well. She said a company was coming to pressure wash the steps on this past July 8th and they never came. The office manager told a couple of tenants thanks for reminding her and she would give them a call since they failed to come do the cleaning of the steps and breezeways. There are so many issues to deal with living here and moving is not really an option since there’s no where to move to. This was such a nice place when they first started moving tenants in. We have had a serious lack of management here and hopefully the new property manager will take her job seriously and do something about this. Most of us are decent and clean people and shouldn’t be subjected to this kind of atmosphere/living. I’m disabled and have mobility issues and have practically fallen down the steps trying to clean them. Having company is the most embarrassing thing ever. The kids have been allowed to play in the breezeways, screaming and hollering, bouncing balls right in front of other tenants doors, being a nuisance to others. Some of us are hardworking people and just wanna come home to a nice pleasant, peaceful place. There’s a playground for the kids and playing ball continuously hitting my door isn’t an option. Our next step is Don Dare from 6 On Your Side. Something has got to be done and fast. Oh don’t let me forget to mention the tenants sitting their garbage outside in the breezeway drawing rats and raccoons. We want Mrs. Shirley back!!

Well, I dropped my tablet without finishing.. I intended on saying that we now have a new manager here at Kensington Forest, Chloe, and I don't believe I have given her the benefit of the doubt. I apologize for this. She fell into this job without having any idea of what was already in place here, I feel sympathy for her because of all the past managers and what they did. I wish her good luck and God Speed.
And 2) our maintenance man, Brian, is THE BEST!!! I don't know how he does what he does without losing his mind. He's at work before daylight most days, and leaves late most days. We even see him weekends a lot. This man needs a raise, and a HELPER. There's no way one person can do everything that this complex needs, no way!!! I truly believe that if Brian did have a helper to do even things like grounds keeping, laundry room upkeep, breezeway upkeep, etc., EHM would see a big change in the way residents think of them.
3) as it stands now, we can't talk to our neighbors without saying something about how it looks around here, even work needing done in apartments. It's not hard to figure out how much money this complex brings in, SO WHY DOES SO LITTLE OF IT NOT GO BACK INTO THE UPKEEP OF THIS PLACE!!!!

Warning do not move into any of Emerald Housing apartments. Unfortunately my daughter and I lived in one of there apartments for 6 years and cause I didn’t have any money to get out of there sooner. They are slum lords and always need to get inside your place and they always threaten that if they can’t get in it’s a $150.00 fine. The building that I was living in had squirrels in the walls that they came in through holes in the building from outside. One got in my place and my cat chased it back through the hole. They remodeled the apartment that I lived in but I’m sure there is still a flaw in the apartment. I just wish that I had seen the reviews before I moved in. I thank God that I got my daughter and I out of there!!!

I do highly suggest this property management.. Very professional well established business, with multiple properties in this region to choose from.. I worked on the revamped for EHM back 2008 on multiple properties.. Definitely check out EHM for a nice place to call home..

Lived at Sycamores Apt for four years. I filed four verbal assaults complaints against Steve Woods, a man in his late sixties. I’m eighty yrs old and female. The police have been called to his apartment three times by three different women he had also verbally assaulted. The Management did nothing to protect us. Just warning to him and to us. I had to move. He is still living there and as I understand, he now works for the company.

Considering this is income based housing and I had a waiver on an eviction that was 5 years ago... it took them 3 weeks to return my call and they had denied me due to an eviction however the judge waived the eviction due to the fact I had paid the realty company every month. The realty company had changed owners/ management companies and "lost" my cashiers checks even though they cashed them.
They would've have seen the judgment was not in favor of any eviction and I was not held responsible financially for any "missing" payments because there wasn't any missing payments.

This place is the worst place to live. I live at Gate Manor Apartments and I hate it here. When I first moved in here I really loved it, the office manager and maintenance were awesome! Now they have a husband and wife team that are completely incompetent. All of our friends and family have to check in before coming in or their vehicles get towed. It's awful! Before putting in an application, try other places, it will be worth your while!!

Wouldn’t recommend these folks are so quick to evict black mothers with kids who never caused any issues until you piss the staff off about neglecting the apartment and the tenants than a white lady with no kids who is outside harassing everybody and they kids almost everyday. Mothers/ Families have called the police on this lady, made complaints and she still living out here almost 2yrs later and she still out here harassing visitors and these kids.
