I can’t begin to say how incredibly thankful I am for Garrett at Dark Knight. I was starting a hike up in the Sierra Buttes and got a flat, didn’t have a spare, so I was SOL. I barely had any service and was able to get my insurance to get DK to come get me out of there. We had lots of issues with my insurance approving a tow since we were really out in the middle of nowhere but Garrett walked me through the issues he was having with my insurance company and I was able to push them to have me towed using DK. Garrett was so great about getting to me on time once my claim was approved (I’d been stranded for about 6 hours at that point) and got me to a tire shop. He even was kind enough to drop me off to lodging I found last minute. I hope I never have to be towed again but if I do, I can’t recommend Garrett at DK enough, thank you for being so amazing and getting me out of that terrible situation. He’s also very personable, kind, and friendly!

I was blown off by AAA and another private company for 24 hours forcing me abandon my vehicle and find private service. Dark Knight sent a tow immediately. They were very professional and did it for a fair price. Only no BS service around.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. Their customer service was above and beyond. After multiple tow companies confirmed and later canceled on us over a 24hr period, this company, the gentleman named Steel came and saved our day.

We were on a serious time crunch and had a flight to catch in Sacramento. He showed up a few mins earlier than he confirmed and that’s with me giving him an incorrect address (I was really stressed).

The property where our 30ft 3500 Cheverlot shuttle bus was parked had a steep, narrow and sharp turn driveway which in it self was not the easiest for Steels powerful tow truck to make it up because of size. But he made it up.

We had the bus parked between multiple tall pine trees, so he had to pull the bus out of there to get up his ramp on onto his truck. Getting the bus down that driveway may have been the toughest part of the tow, where I think others would have not even attempted to come up to the property.

Steel never once was negative or thought of giving up. He was so detailed, careful and calculated on getting our bus off the property with no damage to our bus, the property or his truck. He transported the bus from grass valley to auburn. Where he again had to take the bus down and pull it into a spot. Even with that he made sure the bus was parked perfectly!

I could not say enough about this husband and wife business/team. For insurance purposes I needed a receipt and they made sure I had it as soon as I called and asked.

We made it to the airport with time to spare and we can 100% and whole heartedly say it was because of the professionalism and work ethic of this business! Thank you to Dark Knight auto recovery towing!

We will be using them again soon to move our bus again and for any towing needs we will ever encounter in the Nevada County and surrounding area! Thanks again.

Had an Ace Hardware semi kick up a sheet of metal on the highway which sliced the coolant line on my rental. Garrett was out there quickly, with a great sense of humor, & knowledge of the area that saved us an hour of detouring due to an issue on the highway. I had no idea we’d be riding in the rental… ON the tow truck, but it seriously was a highlight of my trip. Add in the fact that the police asked us to be aware of our surroundings as there was an escaped fugitive on the loose in the area & he truly was our knight. 10/10 would recommend!!

Great service!! My truck needed to be hauled from Yuba Gap to SF Bay Area. Great communication on status and his truck was very clean, well maintained, and professional. Hopefully I don’t need his services again, but if I breakdown on i80 in the Sierras, I’m calling Dark Knight Auto Recovery.
