From the first conversation with the manager at Cottonwood Village Apartments, Rosa has gone above and beyond to help me in every way possible!!! Anything I need she is always available to help with! I have really enjoyed living here, the clubhouse, pool and gym are always clean! The basketball court is great for my kids. The pool is so fun to have, we had a birthday party for my daughter there and it was really enjoyable! The walls in my apartment are pretty sounds proof, I don’t hear much from my neighbors which is great! The view is wonderful from my apartment! I have loved my experience here!

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about this complex, and especially its property manager, Gloria.

TL;DR: My only complaint is that I didn't move here sooner.

First of all, Gloria is a godsend. Truly. My roommate and I recently moved to CC from down south. For brevity, let me just say that that whole process was a hellacious ordeal that didn't have to happen.

I found myself in a not-so-safe place, without a car, with all of our belongings while the roommate finished up his tenure down south. Neither of us knew anyone in Colorado City.

Finding Cottonwood Village to seemingly be more suitable and, more importantly, infinitely safer I decided to apply via the website. It wasn't until the roommate was filling out his portion that I got a phone call from Gloria, the property manager.

She assured me that we would have a space by the next week, at least. I found her extremely warm and kind, and reassuring - I was reeling with anxiety and stress, so it was really helpful to have someone so supportive on the other end.

The movers I thought I had squared away ended up flaking. Other people couldn't help due to work demands. The deadline for my lease break was approaching. Gloria, once again, was amazing! She reached out to people who were able to help within a couple of days. She even had her son come pick me up to sign documents - because Uber/Lyft is nonexistent here and she couldn't bear seeing me pay another $45 for the only "taxi" service to take me a mile up the road.

I remember nothing from the original tour. I was just happy to have a place with rails on the stairs, safe stairs to climb, sidewalks, and a bathtub with an actual faucet, among other things. However, after living here approximately two weeks I can assure everyone reading that my main bone of contention with Cottonwood Village is that I didn't move here sooner.

It isn't a gated complex, but that's fine. The community is probably one of the safest I have ever lived in - and that's from Upstate NY, to LA, to Georgia-Bama.

The pool and hot tub are sparkling clean, though I have yet to partake. The landscaping compliments the surrounding natural sights and is kept tidy. The view from my apartment alone is amazing! The residents are fairly quiet. Most of the time I don't even know they're here. Even when children are playing outside, one can barely hear anything from inside or outside their apartment.

The complex seems to be situated in the heart of town. It's within walking distance to a wonderful and comprehensive medical center, restaurants, coffee shops, and places to shop.

Much of the property is wheelchair accessible, and there are plenty of handicapped spaces. There is covered parking for residents, which is wonderful to see in the summer months especially. And there is a good amount of parking for guests, as well.

Gloria works very closely with every resident to ensure they have everything they need for a smooth transition and acclimation to the community - she checks in on how I'm doing at least twice a week if not more; most managers ignore you until the rent's due. I've lived in many an apartment in my days and nothing compares to the care and feeling of "coming home" as I have experienced since moving to Cottonwood Village. That has far more to do with Gloria and her dedication to residents than it does about the amenities and aesthetics.

Gloria is the true hero of this story - apartments are generally all the same when the honeymoon shine wears off. But, even if Gloria had been unable to accommodate us for whatever reason, she went above and beyond her role as property manager. No one could ask for better. I truly cannot say enough good things about her or this complex. Her warmth has made living in one of the second-most remote places in the country bearable, especially with her knowledge of community programs to help struggling families and other useful resources. I am truly grateful to be at Cottonwood Village and more so because I met someone such as her. She is worth this complex's weight in gold!
