As a single homebuyer, I wasn’t sure I could get the home I had fallen in love with at the price and interest rate I could afford, but Jim Svehla helped me get there! He was always positive, always helpful, and never made me feel like my circumstances were a headache for him. (And there definitely were challenges along the way: The closing date came and went because the property needed some repairs and there were some hoops to jump through to qualify for FHA funding.) Jim was always gracious and professional, kept me informed at every step, and made it look effortless. For some of us, buying our first house may be the first or biggest deal of our lives and it’s easy to feel at a disadvantage because of everything we don’t know and all the things that might go wrong. Ed Midgely helped us tremendously. We had a hard deadline and a VA loan. He managed the complexities and the stringent requirements by the VA gracefully. He came in in record time as if he were doing it for his own relative. He was this way from the beginning, professional and compassionate. His team mitigated the minor stuff and kept the process on track. They also provided very helpful tidbits along the way such as a reminder to start services i.e. People Gas to avoid interruptions. I'm very happy with my experience at Compass. Usually, buyers overwhelmed by the vastness of buying a home go with the realtor's recommendation. However, if your experience isn't exceptional go to Compass-Graham and Midgely team. They will take care of you.

Lisa Park and John Kambs provided outstanding service! I am 26 years old, and had very little knowledge of buying a home. I originally worked with them to get an estimate financially and how much further I needed to go to become a home owner. After our conversation, they told me that I actually was ready to become an owner and gave me a plan to make that possible. They thoroughly worked with me to get a home loan that perfectly fits my budget and went above and beyond to get me a 3 percent interest rate ! They made my condo dreams come true sooner than I originally expected, and I will not be a home owner at this point in my life right now without their hard work and professionalism. Our realtor recommended Compass Mortgage because they were suppose to be more communicative and provide a small lender feel compared to big bank. This could not be further from the truth. Every time I or my wife had a question we would email our loan office and a different member of the team would respond. And if we tried to respond to the new contact, more often than not they were out of the office the next day and another new staff member would respond. We felt like we were just being passed off and ignored. Our experience was awful and we don't recommend you go with this organization if you are looking for a home loan.
