Former active duty Navy Officer that couldn't be happier with choosing Compass to manage my property in Portsmouth, RI. I purchased a house while I was stationed at Naval Station Newport and then got orders a couple years later to move out of state. Instead of selling, I decided to keep the house and rent it out. Compass did a fantastic job and made the whole process seamless. There were times I almost forgot I still had the house but then I would see money deposited into my bank account. I recently sold the house in Portsmouth and was able to purchase a house back in my hometown with my wife and newborn all because of all the assistance and professionalism from the team at Compass!

Straight forward, honest, and very detailed oriented; Rob runs a great property management team. I've had properties in Newport and around the US for over three decades and have worked with a lot of property managers. Luckily, I switched to Compass Management and his team 4 years ago and couldn't be happier with their service. Sandy in accounting keeps flawless books along with Warren and Evan in maintenance and repairs round out the perfect team. I can't say enough about this team and how they singlehandedly made this my best real estate investment to date.

As a Board member of a 22 unit condominium building and one of the unit owners, I can speak highly of my experiences working with Compass Management for the past 6 years. They have been the right fit for our beautiful old and interesting building, which nonetheless has had many maintenance and upkeep challenges. Our building has a very active Board and ownership group, a group which has been willing to tackle the challenges and promises of our building and puts in both the time and the financial resources to work with Rob Wegener and the team at Compass. Rob and all of the members of the Compass team are professional and responsive. The team makes good use of internet technology for communication, bill payment, video conferencing, and service requests, as well as good old-fashioned know-how for maintenance and project management. They are responsive to the needs of the building and its members and have worked closely with the Board to stay on top of and ahead of building issues and ongoing projects. I would highly recommend Compass to anyone looking for a professional and highly competent building management team!

We own a condominium in Newport that is managed by Compass . I have been in the Real Estate business for over 35 years and have owned many properties both personally and via the companies I have worked for over the years. Compass is by far the best group I have ever worked with. Their response time, and innovative way of solving problems by thinking "outside the box" are extremely good. Rob is the consummate professional and leads his team of very capable and professional employees such as Warren and Sandy in an excellent manner. Rob was able to save our association thousands of dollars by reviewing this like are insurance and landscaping costs. Our property has never looked better thanks to Rob and Warren and I would give them and Compass the highest recommendation.

Rob has been the Property Manager for my condo for 14 years. Prior to him, I went through 3 other property managers within a year. Rob is responsive, innovative, and highly resourced. It did not matter whether I had an issue with a tenant, a leak, lost a key, wanted to renovate my kitchen, or replace my furnace --- Rob and Compass Management has been the ONE STOP SHOP!! Rob is excellent in communication with my tenants and listens to their problems while also protecting my investment and finding the most efficient and cost effective way of resolving problems. Over the past 14 years, Rob has come to know every part of my condo and is the one that I recommend over and over again when other friends ask about property managers. THANKS ROB!! Fantastic job!!

Since 2012, I used Compass Management to manage my rental property in Newport, RI and it was the best investment I ever made. As an out-of-state owner who wanted year round rental income, I needed a company that could properly maintain my property and keep it “rental ready” at all times. Rob and his team took care of everything. Rob was present during tenant check-in and check-out, ensuring no damage was done to the property during moving day. At the end of a rental period, Rob inspected the property to certify it was ready for the next tenant. He was quick to answer tenant calls and concerns. He was always ready to respond to maintenance requests. And, if major work was required, such as replacing an oven or washing machine, Rob did the research and provided replacement recommendations that not only satisfied the tenant but also provided value to the owner. He was even present when the new unit was delivered and installed. During times of inclement weather, Rob sent reminder emails to tenants reminding them on things they can do to protect their home, safeguarding against the loss of running water or heat. He truly does have the well being of the tenant and owner in mind. For five years up until the time I sold my property in June 2017, I used Compass Management to manage my condo in all that time I never once worried about its condition. Rob brings a great deal of integrity, honesty, and professionalism to his job. I highly recommend Compass Management.

I've worked with Rob for 3 years as my manager for a duplex I own near downtown Newport. We actually started working together at the tail end of a 3-year renovation project: he seemlessly acting in the role as our general contractor and allowing us to be ready for tenants on time. As a owner of a 100+ year-old house, his expertise was essential to maintaining a livable space for our tenants. Nothing in our house is simple, no wall straight nor floor level, so someone like Rob is essential for keeping everything running smoothly. He runs an efficient and high-tech team and is incredibly responsive to any sort of situation or curveball thrown his way. As our property manager the service Compass provides is second-to-none. Everyone there is super responsive and we've heard nothing but praise from our tenants. He provides seamless service for routine repairs and overseas any major work or appliance installation, allowing me to happily maintain my absentee landlord status. He and his team is worth every penny!
