I've lived at Carter Mill for 12 years and have found it to be a safe family/pet friendly community. As with all large family style dwellings there are minor irritants, but the office staff quickly respond to any complaint or concern. They go out of their way to assist when any family is in need, when you need to get rid of excess items and with keeping us informed of community events. We are located less then 10 minutes from Shaw AFB and are within a short distance from shopping and restaurants. There is also a very nice (sidewalk) area that is used for running and walking. I sincerely thank Carter Mill for all their support to me and my family over the past 12 years.

I spend every last dying breath in this place in horror from roast ingestions to foul spiritual smells. I get harassed daily by my sister and our ungodly neighbors. I get spyed on by property managers who always tell their boss their helping. I can’t even think in this place if your someone in the military without felling like their is someone over my shoulder. They say this place is a blood neighborhood I’m like omg I thought this was a nice community. I see signs of witchcraft I’m like where is the religion. Frogs are this place natural habitat they will sneak in your house.

I’ve lived here for just over a year and it’s been great. When I have an issue Rick the maintenance guy is on it usually within hours or the next day and within minutes for emergencies such as heat/AC. Jen and Kim at the office are also great. I let them know that the grill was broken at the pool over the summer and they had a new one out there the very next day. The complex is a little dated (was built in early 2000s but its perfectly fine. You will not find granite counter tops here but for the price you can’t beat it. Apartment life is expensive enough so I’m content.

For the price, I was really expecting better. The apartments are never power washed. I can’t even walk up the steps and go into my apartment without spiderwebs and spiders/bugs getting on me. The least they could do is clean the stairs and walkways. We shouldn’t have to walk into spiderwebs literally every day. They’re all over and hanging low too. I’m not sure where all the money renters pay is going because the place is nasty. For as much as we pay, you would think they would atleast clean. But nope. I sweep my front door area but that’s only so much since the entire steps on both sides are still covered. Also, they don’t enforce cigarette smokers. People smoke and throw all their cigarettes on the steps and that’s a safety hazard if one isn’t put out all the way. For little kids and pets that have to walk up and down the steps, that is not the least bit safe either.

Slum lord for sure. The buildings are falling apart . They are raising rent to compensate the repairs needed on the builds so they don’t fall apart. No upgrades inside the apartment. If your going to pay the rate they give you…. Spend the extra $100 for something nice not run down

I love my apartment but soon after I moved in I have had a few sleepless nights. I am not one to complain in fact I hate to. However the neighbors that live above me are terrible, it sounds like they are just running and jumping upstairs. The worse is when I am trying to go to sleep at night and I hear bumping and walking all night. I am not sure if the flooring is that thin or if the people above me don't care if I get any sleep or not. After letting my neighbors know I was down here it stopped for about a week. Then I had to let the apartment management know and then it stop for about a week. However last night I had to sleep in the closet in my back room to finally get some sleep. I hope something changes soon. Other then all of that i like the apartment alotl
