I first became aware of Clayton Automotive in 2022 after enduring a frustrating experience with my previous mechanic. My engine light would come on repeatedly, and I would drive over an hour to get it checked. Each time, my previous mechanic would claim to make the "necessary" repairs, only for the engine light to return within a week. This cycle went on for nearly a year. As someone who values loyalty, it was difficult for me to change mechanics, but their lack of respect for my time, my vehicle, and my trust left me no choice.
After deciding to seek out a new repair shop, I came across Clayton Automotive during my research. Their overwhelmingly positive reviews caught my attention, and I decided to give them a chance. From the moment I walked in, I knew I had made the right choice. My car is far from the newest or most impressive, yet the team at Clayton Automotive treated me—and my vehicle—with dignity and respect.
The service here is truly exceptional. They are personable, professional, and always greet you with a warm smile. The care they show to their customers is rare, and their prices are more than reasonable for the quality of work they provide.

The whole saga started Tuesday when I discovered my radiotor fluid leaked out and my car was running hot. After overcoming what I thought was a disaster, fluid leaking, car running hot and a lost reservoir cap that felled by the engine and I could not find it. After overcoming the bad traffic in Atlanta, I arrived at Clayton Auto Service just as Brandy and her team of experts walked out. After a long day I knew they were ready to go home but she took hold of my car and she told me she would contact me the next day. True to her word, she contacted me but the news was not great AT FIRST. She contacted five, not four but five auto parts company but no luck. She said the only alternative I have is to purchase a radiotor at the cost of 1200. Well, like a good girl scout, like a college student, like that little engine she said I will try to find one at lower price. And presto chang--o, the radiotor was found. AND BAM, just like that the car is back on the road. When I stopped at a red light, I thought either my car was a hybrid which it is not, I then thought the car cutoff but ,no it was REAL QUIET. JUST SMOOTH AS BETTER. THANK YOU BRANDY AND YPUR TEAM FOR DOING A GREAT JOB. BLESSINGS.

I held off on writing this review to ensure their quality and service held up over time, and I’m happy to report my car is still running smoothly. I booked an appointment online after experiencing overheating issues, and they promptly texted to confirm the date and time. They also advised me not to drive the car until the appointment, which was helpful. When I arrived, they quickly diagnosed the problem. Although I don’t remember the receptionist’s name, she was incredibly kind and helpful. Their prices are very reasonable compared to chain mechanic shops that overcharge and often don’t fully resolve the issue. I recommended this family-owned shop to a few people since coming here.

Edit: I went back for brakes (full service) & and oil change & John, our mechanic said our brakes don’t need to be replaced & I appreciated his honesty because he could have collected a bigger check from doing our brakes like most mechanics would but he didn’t & that shows this company’s integrity.
