Staff is always friendly and easy to reach about issues or tasks. Only grief is that I feel like we don’t have enough communication and outreach with the citizens about events, meetings and such. The Locust Grove Main Street program attempts this but I feel like it should be a joint effort.

In the process of moving to Locust Grove and have had nothing but problems from the Locust Grove clerks. None of them seem to know what they are talking about. Been waiting for my water service to be turned on for over a week. Have called multiple times to ask about the water being turned on and they kept telling me that it was on. Ended up calling to ask again within a 10 minute time frame today and she said the water wasnt turn on. Like seriously? I have been waiting for my service to be turned on so I can move in yet they cant even complete a simple task... Get new staff and get rid of the old grumpy women who cant seem to do their jobs correctly.

I moved to Locust Grove.Henry County in 2009, at that time it was rated as a fast growing county. I really enjoyed the rural experience. Now I find that it has turned into Truck city, with increased and heavy traffic. The trucks have caused traffic to be unbearable. Warehouse are numerous with more to come. Many are build and never occupied, while others building are left unoccupied after the business have relocated. . Now it seems that for some strange reason our officials are pushing for more warehouses while neglecting the great stress placed on the residents, businesses and the roadways. Are we to become one big commercial community? Is this growth ? When will it stop? Locust Grove decisions affect all of Henry County as well as our Spalding neighbors

My husband and I visited this charming town last year. We wanted to pay our respects to relatives of mine in the City Cemetery. We found the group we were looking for, but were struggling so see some particular ones as there was an overgrown, prickly Holly bush next to them. We finally gave up, and walked on over to the Govt. building next door to ask for help. We were greeted, most warmly and graciously, by none other than the Mayor himself, Mr.Price. He was not only very helpful with our many questions, but gave us info and background on the town and Henry County. As we walked past the Cemetery, to get back to our car, we were VERY impressed to see a crew making swift work of the bothersome Holly bush! Go Mayor Price, getting things done (great and small) for his city! Much appreciated. Thank you, R.& L. Cartledge

I called, to alert the City of a dog taking a dump on Tanger, at the park closed, to dogs for that exact problem. The lady, did not clean up after her dog who simply dumped 2x's in the middle of the grass/track. The City employee, referred the call to Code Enforcement, which I appreciate. I simply wish, public servants answering calls, would take a deep breath in between calls so they can not unload on how busy Code Enfodcement is and other issues.Simply, be more kind, patient, and responsive to the public concerns. I would hope, for public servants to acknowledge such behavior is a problem, thank the caller, in an effort to encourage, rather discourage calls trying to help the community. This park, is fairly new and already vandalized.

Stop by and ask for the City Manager, Timothy Young. He is the most entertaining and gracious government Bureaucrat you will ever encounter. His office door is always open for visitors.
