I had a fantastic experience with Chuck and his team. Earlier this year, my husband and I decided to relocate to the Midlands of South Carolina and knew we wanted to build our dream home to get exactly what we envisioned.

After a recommendation from our builder (America's Home Place), I reached out to several companies, but none could provide a solution like Chuck did at Intercoastal.

In short, we planned to stay in our current house in Nashville, TN while building in Columbia, SC. Most lenders were hesitant to work with us unless we sold our Nashville home, which would significantly lower my DTI (Debt-to-Income ratio). This would have forced us to live with friends, family, or even buy a used RV.

Considering I've only been married for just over a year and we have 3 dogs and 3 cats, you can imagine the challenge of surviving 6-8 months in an RV with that many pets. My husband loves true crime documentaries, but neither of us wanted to become the subject of one.

Chuck addressed all my concerns, outlining the process and providing a clear timeline for completion. His solution was magic: we can stay in our Nashville home until the build nears completion. At that point, we'll list it for sale as we prepare to move to our dream home, minimizing the number of moves for our belongings and our small zoo.

Working with Chuck and his team was a pleasure, and I wholeheartedly recommend them—10/10—if you're building a house and need an option to retain your current home during the process.
