Carol helped me buy our house several years ago. Throughout the years, I have reached out to her with questions and she has always been helpful. When it came time to sell my house, I knew I wanted her to be my agent again. She walked through my house and pointed out things that needed to be done. She told me that I could sell the house "as is" but that I would get about $60k less than what she thought it would be worth OR I could take her advice and fix up what needed to be fixed and get more money for it. The cost for the work that needed to be done was more than I could afford, but she was able to make it happen anyway. She brought in various people who completely transformed my house. The photos online were amazing. She explained her pricing strategy and it paid off! We received multiple offers in less than a week and my house sold for $30k over asking price. There were two other houses just down the street from me that had been sitting on the market for months and mine sold in a week! What I can say about Carol is that she cares about her clients. She will try to talk you out of spending money whenever she can. She will roll up her sleeves and do whatever it takes. She even negotiated that we stay in our house for 2 weeks after escrow closed, for free. On the day we moved out, I was short on help and Carol showed up and loaded up her own car and took some of my stuff to her house to store temporarily because our moving truck was completely full. Carol is someone you can trust and she always has your best interests at heart.

We hired Carol to sell our investment property. She went over to the house and she made up a list of items that she recommended we take care of prior to listing it. Then she put us in touch with her team of people that went in and renovated the house for a very affordable price and completed the work quickly. She staged the house and had professional photos taken. The transformation from "before" to "after" was incredible. This property was an older home, located in a modest neighborhood, so we didn't know what to expect. We received multiple offers right away and we were in escrow by day 6. The entire process was handled professionally and the communication was great, as always.

This is the fourth time we have worked with Carol. We know a lot of real estate agents, but we keep coming back because we have the utmost confidence in her ability to close transactions efficiently and stress-free. She has an answer for every question and she is always available. As with previous transactions, we received an offer almost immediately. Big Bear:
Carol helped us with our purchase of a vacation home in Big Bear. We have very rigorous work schedules so we only have a limited amount of free time to look for homes and add to that the fact that we live and work over 2 hours away from Big Bear. The other challenge was that my wife and I were not always available at the same time to view homes. Thankfully, Carol understood these challenges and was willing to put in the time to show homes to my wife, and then show me the same homes at a later time. It was double the work but there was no way around it and she didn't mind. One weekend, she even put us up in an AirBnB so that our family could take the whole weekend to look at homes. She put us in touch with local home inspectors and other professionals when it came time to get estimates; She even argued with the listing agent about certain fire safety compliance requirements that the seller and listing agent were unaware of and unprepared to comply with. In the end, the listing agent agreed to pay for the compliance. Carol is not local to Big Bear but she proved to be as good of a resource in that area as she has proven to be in our immediate area. We can't say enough good things about our experience working with her.

Carol Laffite was referred to me by a colleague and he told me that I will be really in good hands. My wife and I lived in Canada and I had accepted a job in California. I was anxious about buying a house in the USA with different rules, process … . I contacted Carol to introduce myself and on that first call, she spoke to me for about 40 minutes. She went into great detail about the buying process and answered all my questions. This was very helpful because it turned out to be completely different from how we buy/sell real estate in Canada. It was looking really complicated for me, but Carol was able to translate it as a simple process, step by step. Once it was time to begin looking for our new home, we had a bit of a challenge. Because we were out of the country, we were not available to visit properties in person like most people normally would. Thankfully, Carol was open to showing me and my wife homes via video and then later also in person (even if the time zone was different she always accommodated us). On video showings, as she walked through properties, she pointed out flaws and other possible concerns that were not easily visible to us via video. We trusted her and relied on her advice because she was very honest about all the pros and cons that each property had to offer. She also gave me really good advice about Mello Roos tax and general fees (energy, water & natural gas). Because real estate sales in Canada are handled differently than in the U.S., Carol had the extra task of having to explain the sale process in Canada to the listing agent. Also, all my documents were in French so she had to help the listing agent and seller understand them. Thankfully, the seller and their agent were satisfied with the information that Carol provided, and the house was ours. Even though we had not seen our new house in person, we were 100% confident we would love it when we finally moved in! And we did! We have really enjoyed working with Carol and strongly recommend her. She is someone you can rely on to present you with options and guide you through the entire process and a lot more. Without her, I do not think we would have been able to buy this house!

After my mother in law passed away, we had the task of selling her property. This property had been in the family for over 40 years and it had a lot of sentimental value. The house was occupied by a family member who had several dogs so showing the house was going to be a bit of a challenge. There were several family members involved in the sale process too so that was also a tricky. We were a bit stressed going into the process, but Carol eased our worries right away. We felt that we were in good hands and she basically took care of everything. She was in constant communication with us and gave us advice when a sticky situation came up with one of the neighbors.
