My husband and I worked with Margie to purchase our house, and the process was great! We had a very positive experience with Candler Real Estate. Our agent, Beverly Filson, is very good at what she does, and is overall just a lovely person. Not only is she knowledgeable about the market, houses, and considerations when buying a home, but she is also very perceptive of what her clients want. She educated us so much on what we should think about when buying a home, what traps we can fall into, what features we should consider to retain resale value, and what being in a certain market does to your options. She was incredibly patient as we went through the emotions of being in a tough market, and in the kindest way, she told us things that we needed to hear, even if we didn’t want to. She could tell within the first few steps of us walking into a house whether we were going to like it or not. We didn’t waste time if we obviously weren’t interested, and we workshopped possibilities when we needed to use a bit of imagination. She was always available. Being in the area for a long time, she’s very knowledgeable and resourceful for all kinds of things like schools, daycares, contractors, etc, etc. She’s a great negotiator and will do everything she can in the best interests of her client. She was so energetic and positive, and as grueling as a house-hunting process can be, she kept it light and fun. In a weird way, we miss those little outings we would take to look at houses. We did get into a lovely home and although we are grateful to Beverly for that, we are the most thankful for her continued friendship.
