We rented a home from them in Tracy for 7 yrs. When we moved we started noticing things were taped or glued together to "fix" things. No big deal. They continued to raise the rent every year though never did any repairs or upgrades. We put our 30 days in and never received any confirmation or communication. We had to contact them. Then had to again because he never called is back like we were told he would. The walk through went fine and they agreed to return our full deposit. He stated he "would get it out to us right away". After not receiving it almost a month later I called the office to inquire if it was even sent yet and asked for a call back. I never received a call back but did finally receive our deposit from them which was dated almost a month after our last day. Knowing they needed to do a ton of work there they put a for rent sign out immediately and raised the rent even more. Per their own people they are aware their properties are in poor condition yet continue to collect as much rent as they can from people. I just found them to be extremely unprofessional from a tenants perspective.

CA Golden has managed my properties for almost fifteen years now. The level of service they provide cannot be compared to other property management companies. From impeccable book keeping to responsive service, all my properties have been running smoothly. It is important to note that my interaction is only half the battle. I have always asked my tenants how they feel the experience was with CA Golden as I am always ready to dump a bad property management company for a better one if needed. The feedback from my tenants has always be outstanding. They would actually rather deal with the property management company than ever talk to me!

Steve and Tammy are an amazing realtor.they has helped us with purchase of my properties in 2004. They has the contract knowledge of an attorney and the business knowledge of an investor. This properties is the worst one. As they bought the apartment which we were living in El Cerrito and they increased the rent $350 at once. But nobody came to live there till now and seems like they are giving the same rent as before now. But the worst part was they deducted couple hundred of our deposit. They want the apartment to be new condition once we leave, no matter how clean we did. Be aware before moving there.

Through out our tendency they were attentive but wouldn't or couldn't fix things like an oven light or ice maker. Upon out move out after almost 3 years they nit picked and blamed us for a number of items on the property, like it was a new home when we moved it (it wasn't!). They charged us for repairs that were not from our tendency. They even tried to charge us for normal wear and tear. I think they are unethical and I would note and take pictures of every item in your walk though or they will blame you and charge you for it (maybe even take a video!).
