Brother & Brother did an incredible job converting our detached garage into a stunning one-bedroom apartment, and we couldn't be happier with the results. It was a huge project with several challenges that included running water and sewer lines across our backyard and through a concrete floor, replacing a massive roll-up door with beautiful glass doors, and making use of the existing high ceiling by adding an elegant drop-down ceiling in the kitchen to create an extra loft-style storage space. The team was professional and highly skilled, and it was always easy to communicate with the team using the group chat they set up. I imagine we were quite demanding clients, but every tiny detail we fixated on was addressed. Brother & Brother had previously renovated our bathroom, and in both cases the tile work, in particular, was excellent. They stand by their work, too - they even replaced some molding that had gotten a little damp over the years in the original bathroom renovation (through no fault of theirs), long after the job was completed.

As with almost all major construction, it was a long process with the typical permit delays from the city, but in the end it was well worth the wait. The transformation is incredible. Friends and family who had seen the garage during various stages of completion were stunned when they saw the final result. We've had multiple people from outside companies - internet provider, window dressings, even a city inspector - comment that they've never seen a garage conversion this beautiful. We are extremely happy we chose Brother & Brother and would not hesitate to use them again.

We worked with Zion and his team for remodeling 3 bathrooms, some improvements in the kitchen and remodel a fireplace wall. BnB handled all the permits and inspections smoothly. Miguel was our foreman and his crew including Angel & Giovani were all really skilled and good at their job! Miguel himself is very hands-on and aims for perfection in his work. Even after the project. Zion has been very responsive for any fixes and tweaks to have a better finish to the work. We would recommend them for your next home improvement project! B&B remodeled my guest and master bathrooms after a bad experience with another contractor. We were pleased with the superior standard of workmanship. The good communication with all members of the team. we were assigned Daniel, as our project manager who went above and beyond to assist us when we ran into issues of materials procurement. We were also assigned an assistant project manager and a designer who assisted with all material purchases and questions and helped get them ready before our project started. The project was delayed a bit but still completed within the promised time frame. The price was reasonable, and we are happy with the end results.

We recently had Brother & Brother complete a remodel of our master bathroom. We chose Brother & Brother after receiving 8 proposals from various builders. The Brother & Brother quote was competitive and fair.

We chose Brother & Brother for a couple reasons:
1) The reviews on Yelp were excellent
2) Zion was very genuine, sincere and knowledgeable

Now that the work has been completed, I can say that the end product is excellent---beyond our expectations.

Zion and his team were very patient with us during the design phase. The designers we worked with were knowledgeable and walked us through the entire process, meeting us at the various suppliers and providing us options that fit our design preferences and budget.

Since our bathroom had had a water leak, the team first had to do a demolition of the affected areas. This was done quickly and efficiently. New floor boards and dry wall were placed. The tile work that Daniel completed was nothing short of excellent. Daniel meticulously matched the veins in the wall tiles--which took extra time--but the end result was terrific.

Throughout the project, communication through WhatsApp was efficient. Zion was always responsive, typically responding in minutes. Each team member who worked on the project was respectful and professional. The project was completed on time and on budget. A few "extras" such as a bench in the shower were thrown in for no extra charge.

In summary, the end result was exceptional and the team excellent. I have recommended Brother & Brother to my friends who are looking to remodel.

We just completed our outdoor remodel with B&B, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! The project was finished on time. Miguel and his crew were fantastic—communication was smooth throughout, and their attention to detail was outstanding. Highly recommend B&B for your project.

We did a full kitchen, bathroom and several rooms remodel with Brother and Brother. We had to upgrade all our plumbing, electrical, flooring, remove a structural wall. It was important for us to go with the company that we were comfortable with, and it was also important for us to follow good principles or construction, to preserve and enhance the long term value of the house. Although B&B were not the cheapest company, we decided to go with them after interviewing 7 different companies, because of the team (Anton, Yolanda, Maurice and Auner), attention to detail when planning, their professional approach to permitting and rules, and Anton's ability to listen and suggest what would work given our frugality and desired goals.
We had a few misunderstandings during the process (but who doesn't!), but it is important to highlight that B&B always resolved everything in non-confrontational, professional manner, such that we got the results we wanted.
On several occasions we had to expand the scope of the project (e.g., added 2 extra rooms to the remodel) had to change more pipes than planned originally, the cost of those additions was not unreasonable, and the work was carried out by the same crew.
We are really happy with the quality of their work, I really like my new kitchen, and also that they took time to check the work several times after it was completed to make sure we were happy with the results.

The project manager failed to show up for the scheduled appointment, which was extremely unprofessional. When I followed up with a message expressing concern about the manager's absence, I received no response. This is extremely frustrating because we were genuinely interested in working with Brother and Brother Builders on our project. I'm sorry but such behavior raises concerns about reliability.

Update: Following my initial review, I’d like to clarify a few points. The business mentioned they hadn't received my home address. However, I had provided all the requested information five days prior to the scheduled meeting, so this was an oversight on their part.

Anyway, Brother and Brother Builders reached out to me and we scheduled a second appointment. The project manager showed up on time and was professional and left a very positive impression. Although the first experience was not satisfactory, the follow-up was much more positive.

Brother and Brother Builders can be trusted and relied on. I took my permitted plans for a one-bedroom apartment above existing garage to them and they made it a reality!

Daniel, Nick and Zion kept me updated on all aspects of the project including timing, budget, finish materials and delays(yes PGE...). The communication with the brother and brother team is top notch as well as the build quality. You simply cannot find this from every company. If you are lucky enough to work with Brother and Brother, you cannot go wrong.
