Best experience I have had renting in Brookings!! We lived in 2 seperate properties over the years and never had much issues. When we did have an issue, Crystal and I believe the other ladies name is Tracy were amazing and on it right away! From my experience, they treat their tenants well, take care of issues, and don't steal unneccessary money from your deposit like most of the slumlords of Brookings. Highly recommend!!

I would absolutely not recommend renting from this place. I’ve been renting for over two years and they care more about charging a fine for dog waste than they do apartment security. They will also use the cheapest appliances, doors, trim, windows, patios and try and make them look nice. The inside of my apartment building and the other apartment building I lived in is not taken care of. I’ve had many packages stolen although it claims the building is a protected area. Save yourself time and money and don’t rent from this place. I also spoke with them about the internet wires in the wall which they are responsible for, we’re not working correctly. They tried claiming it was the internet company’s issue. You will not get your deposit back from this place because they use cheap stuff to keep their maintenance people employed at the expense of the renter.

I will never go through a third party rental service again. Brookings property management has done a great job stealing money from broke college students. We lived in a home for two years and called on many occasions on faulty things in the house that would result in a higher bill. We were great and respectful tenants, no noise complains, parties, nothing. They were diligent in coming over but ultimately never fixed the issue as over the span of 6 months we were overcharged by almost $200 dollars on every monthly bill. They refused to be helpful in the matter and left us saying it was our own fault. And problem to deal with. (It wasn’t ) and basically there was nothing left they could do. We knew the people that moved Into the same location and checked out the place ourself to see if what we were charged for was actually replaced. To our surprise (not) everything that we were charged with from our deposit was NOT REPLACED. We were given 19% of our overall deposit. Shameful.

I lived in the Lofts on 6th for two years, and I have never lived in an apartment building that is so well managed. It is kept very clean, maintenance is very fast and efficient, and Emily is always available for questions and is very personable. This building is also very quiet which is really nice. Overall, couldn’t recommend the Lofts more.

I lived at The Lofts At Park Hill for about a year. I worked with Amanda Huber and she was one of the most responsive, helpful, and kind apartment managers I have ever had the pleasure of working with.
The apartment I lived in was incredibly nice and I felt safe there. Whenever I had an issue, Amanda solved it usually within the next business day. I was snug as a bug until life made me change plans and move away.
Whichever property you choose, I know for sure she'll/BPM'll be able to get you settled happily.

Awful company to rent from. The staff is rude and the maintenance crew is incompetent. They are not timely when it comes to repairs, and don’t fix the problem. We have had several issues in our current house, and the maintenance man will come to “fix” the issue, but after he leaves the problem is not truly fixed. We have had our garage doors “fixed” multiple times, but within days or less they will be having the exact same problem. This winter our furnace went out during the night, causing the temperature to drop to 42° while leaking gas into the house. When we called in the morning, the on-call maintenance man was very snippy on the phone and said he will come whenever he wants to come. He did not come for multiple hours while our house got colder, and more gas leaked into the house. It was “fixed”, and the next night the same event transpired. Again, they said they would not come for multiple hours due to needing to scoop sidewalks, as if sidewalks were a more pressing issue than our house being 40° degrees, and gas leaking while children and pets were in the home. Naturally, we were upset and expressed that when calling. Now they will not respond to our maintenance request, sent in December, for our garage doors (again) and plumbing issues. In addition, they have shown our house a few times and gave absolutely no warning before showing up and letting themselves into the house, without even knocking. One of my family members works nights, and woke up one afternoon with people in her room for a showing. This company has no regard for their tenants’ comfort, schedule, or privacy, whatsoever. I would not recommend this rental agency to anyone, ever.

Management doesn't clean hallways or change light bulbs in hallways. When things like the dryer break it takes months to fix. Rent goes up at an astonishing rate. Walls and ceiling are so thin you can hear your neighbors cell phone vibrate. This place is definitely the least bang for your buck!
