Nope. Never again. Misleading and gave us false hope. I was lied to not once but twice to by these folks. If you wasn't going to help us all you had to do was say that. Wasted our time and money. Especially the rude agent Karmen. So rude. I wouldn't talk to a dog how that lady talked to me on the phone. She got caught lying twice with Screenshot. I'm lawyering up as we speak. I'm tired of how realtors think they can just do people any kind of way and get away with it. Next update is going to be me posting a great review on a company who did help us and did their job.

Angela Locklier was great to work with. She took our somewhat problematic constraints and found us several possibilities. From there, she helped us narrow the field and ultimately located us the right house for the right price. We hit some snags along the way, but they were never really an issue because she handled everything so smoothly. I would recommend Angela to anyone.

Worst company i ever dealt with i moved into one of their properties. They said it was ready and would be clean then i soon found out the house wasn't move in ready, but they were acting as if it was. It wasn't clean dust and mold everywhere floors were horrible, i still have the pictures. It took them at least three times to send me a refrigerator and it was also molded and the gasket falling off. My one year lease is finally up and i still haven't received my deposit back it's been almost 2 months now. I would never recommend BHHS to anyone EVER. Employees all have nasty attitudes except Debbie and Maggie. The others are horrible. Now when i call concerning my deposit they say by law they have 60 days to refund it back to me. Never heard of anything like that in my life. You would think they would rush it considering the fact that the house was not at all in move in condition and the whole experience was horrible.This was truly a learning lesson. I do however miss the neighbors they warned me after i moved and told me it was a bad idea. I wish i knew ahead of time.

I try not to let one person who works at a company completely skew my opinion of the entire company, but after having been repeatedly lied to by one of the accountants there, Angela, I feel as though I have no choice but to a leave a terrible review. I literally had to drive over and remind her of Alabama law 35-9a-201 that states she is required to return my deposit to me within 60 days or I would be entitled to double the security deposit. After informing her in person of the law, magically, the check appeared, but this was after numerous phone calls and 3 1/2 months after moving out. Even her coworkers, seemed to be appalled that I had not received my check (her coworkers are very nice). I'm sure Angela will reply to this saying that she sent it twice and it was lost in the mail. Blah, blah, blah. She gave the paperwork to prove that she did, and it totally contradicts what she told me. Anyhow, my suggestion to anyone renting from this company would be to completely skip paying your last months rent and don't worry about the deposit. It's not worth the headache...

Oh, and btw, the reason I moved out was because after a string of burglaries occurred in my neighborhood, I requested to have an alarm system installed and I would pay the monthly fee. The owner and Berkshire refused my proposal of installing an alarm system, and I came home to burglars inside who got away with $5000 worth of my valuables.

We valued Jinger's tireless work and no nonsense approach to management in those instances. Communication has been good and the office seems to run more smoothly since the transition to Berkshire Hathaway.

I would give this company 0 stars if I could. We live out of state and purchased 5 rentals as an investment in 2005 and 2006. We had this company manage our rentals for almost 10 years. During that time our properties gradually deteriorated by lack of maintenance, our tenants consistently were late or not paying their rents at all. We had to beg for receipts and statements. Until finally we were broke with vacant rentals. We also paid out thousand to the vendors recommended by this company just to find out that the houses were not cared for and were neglected. They are incompetent, took advantage of the fact that we live in another state, dishonest and were probably skimming money from us and calling it maintenance. It has been a year now that we fired these people and hired Brad Graves of Real Property Management. Now our houses are looking good, they are all rented and the rent comes in to us on time every time! If you are smart you will not use Berkshire Hathaway in Mobile to manage your rentals. If you are a smart tenant you will not try to rent through this company either. They will ignore your desires to have a well kept home! Run don't walk away from this company. I rent a Beautiful home from Berkshire and Hathaway and needed some work on one of the rooms. They sent out the carpenter's that was very respectful and professional and fast. Nice job they cleaned up and took it all with them when them left. What a great bunch to rent from.
