First, there seems to be a HUGE communication problem between AMG and the residents it is supposed to serve. Sent two emails six and three days ago to Sierra (community manager), who has yet to respond to them, let alone acknowledge confirmation that she has received the emails to begin with. In addition, there is communication delays between residents and AMG after the HOA has decided to move forward with a submitted work request, or other items that are needed that would need AMG’s attention. I shouldn’t have to find out from a board member, given that the community is paying AMG for all its communication needs.

Second, it’s a bit odd that a community manager would try to compare HOA dues with one community they manage to another property. For context, when it was brought up that the HOA monthly dues for the community that I live in at our 2023 annual meeting, the community manager stated that we have it better than some properties who are paying $500 per month. To be honest, that is comparing apples to oranges, given that the huge differences in communities AMG manages is home values, income, and amenities.

Lastly, there is a huge delay in document uploads in the community portal; i.e., financial statements (its 2024 and 2022 and 2023 financial statements have not been uploaded) and meeting minutes (almost April and only January 2024 has been uploaded).

I am the HOA President in our community and AMG has been our property management for the last 2 years. They are far more the best management, company we have used. Shout out to Sierra and Julie for being professional, helpful, and quick to resolve matters.

We changed management companies one year ago after reading countless reviews and conducting a few interviews. Going to AMG in Simpsonville was the best choice we could have made. Being on the Board of an HOA is difficult. Having well informed, educated and experienced help like those at AMG makes it easier. When in doubt about how to handle a situation they can actually help and provide good advise. It's a family run business and they treat their employees like family. People want to work there and they stay. We had 3 different managers in 2 years with our prior management company. The 3rd one was brand new to HOA management and didn't have the experience to answer questions without researching. Our relationship with AMG is one very worth keeping.
