I lived in Alterra for one year first week. It was great. I thought I’ve moved to the perfect apartments. Daughter loved the pool. Till Summer came around multiple parties in the pool drunk fighting beer bottles everywhere I was living right in front of the pool daughter kept waking up, saying there’s too loud, there is a security officer every now and then but not all the time pet owners. There is so many dog feces everywhere people are constantly stepping on it. Parking spaces there is only one parking space per unit there’s only about 10 first come first serve parking if you park in anybody’s parking space just to unload you will be towed at your own expense. Rent seems great 2750 per month if you don’t read the final print you will be charged for sewer, trash, water, and hot water due to big amount of people living in one unit. There is no parking available. You go out to the street to park. There is none available one last thing now I only live there for one year, total security deposit was 1400 only received roughly around $200 from the security deposit so if you’re planning of moving out, don’t count on receiving your full deposit back . They will do the most to sell you services for the apartment to keep your deposit. There is no corporate number to reach out to no corporate email. That’s provided. I requested this information from Management team and was not provided one.

The Alterra team; Veronica, Carmen and Abel are great.
Veronica is the most efficient person I know, she gets everything solved asap, she can Carmen is such a sweet and kind person, and Abel is always willing to help with any problems in the units.
There are some security matters that could be better, like in also every other place. (Tenants could actually help to improve this).

This place sucks , you pay for the water and you never can take a shower with the temperature you want either hot af or cold af , and management sucks here also they don’t do there job at all and try and intimidate residents , and don’t get me started on the parking are car got towed even when we had a parking pass on it and we had to pay $400 to take are car out from morris and sons there criminals and I feel like Alterra works with them cause they tow residents cars that live there and pay rent and when I went and told the manager and she thinks she’s all that etc she had the nerve to tell me I don’t have to park at the complex so where do I park the. Idiot…………. They don’t fix anything and the gates are always broken they never have pest control spray the grass where there can be fleas and ticks , they don’t do anything you are better off renting a room at motel 6

Lady in the office is rude she doesn’t even listen to people matters, there is always people drinking alcohol and dancing by the swimming pool sometimes people get crazy and got into a fights, that’s not a good environment for kids and families. Alterra go by polices and agreements when is for their benefits..

My first review and it’s a disappointing one. We moved in on Saturday after signing for a move in date on Dec. 1. The walkthrough was never completed because the front desk person was “too busy.” The washer and dryer don’t work. It washes but doesn’t rinse and the dryer does not blow hot air. The carpet has stains that appear to have not been removed. We were assigned parking spaces on a post it note (nothing is noted on the contract regarding the parking spaces.) I have tried calling multiple times to get the spaces assigned as well as adding the cars to the contract. The shower door in the master bedroom does not close and it causes water to leak out while showering. I tried calling the emergency line to get these issues fixed and was told they “are the after hours emergency line only” and proceeded to hang up. I tried calling the towing company to get the cars out of my assigned parking space but was told “a post it note” from the company is not enough they need a contract with the information on it. My car was then towed because it’s not a resident vehicle.

Worst place ever to live. Maintenance guy never fixes anything. You call go to the leasing office and the staff are never there. You don’t get any response. They will keep your deposit. No matter how clean you left your apartment. They charge for everything even parking lot. Mail boxes where broken into and took the office months to fix it my mail would get lost between post office and mail boxes. Office staff are so nice when you first try to move in but once you are living there, they are never there to assist / help you with any repairs or problems with the property. Water leak for months reported to the office never got fixed until the city paid them a visit. By the way all the time I was being charge for the water that was being waste .

As a college student this place is average. There’s mainly a problem with the leasing office and parking. I used to think the reviews on here were being over dramatic about parking but I was sadly proven wrong. When we moved in there were a good/decent amount of free parking. But about a month moving in they got rid of half of the spots and they now have to be paid for. Fast forward a little more and now they’re getting rid of even more spots. There are currently approximately 15 free spots available (which is nothing), so I can only imagine how many spots will be available afterwards. Thankfully I’ll be leaving after the lease is over. You can pay to get another parking spot for $100/month, but good luck trying to get through to them over the phone. Tried to go into the leasing office and I waited for 2 hours with some other residents but no one answered. Avoid this place if you can, otherwise you’ll have to park about 2-4 blocks away everyday. Although that depends on your work/school schedule. Most of the spots are gone by 5-6pm. Maintenance people are the best thing about this apartment complex honestly, they’re nice and understanding. They also get the job done the same day. Lastly, this is just unfortunate luck, but I’m in an apartment that has a LOT of cats that hangout on the porch and they pee in front of our door. There’s about 6 and they’re adorable but I don’t like the pee smell.

The Alterra team is amazing. This has been my first time moving into an apartment and I had no idea what to expect. I came to Alterra knowing close to nothing about apartments or what it takes to lease one. Everyone was helpful and friendly, taking the time to walk me through what needed to be done so I could move in stress free. Special shoutout to Ashley for not only the amazing customer service but also making sure I have been taken care of logistically during my time here. It has all been a great experience.
