Counting down the days until my lease is up. If there’s anything I’ve ever done in LA that I actually regret, it’s signing a lease with the Ashby.
There is no AC. Not even a wall unit. Paying $1850 for this.
I was promised two parking spots when I signed the lease but wound up having to wait 4 months before I was offered one extremely tight spot for an extra $150. The person that parks next to me has left multiple dents on my car from getting in and out with no care.
I am extremely clean. I never leave food out, always do dishes before leaving, floors are mopped weekly, and I always take the trash out on my way out but there is still a roach infestation living within the walls of the building. They get into my kitchen plates and cups and it’s disgusting. Had a friend over and she went to grab a cup from the cubbard, it had a dead roach AND spider in it. EMBARRASSING. DISGUSTING.
Also I do not have a proper blinds on my kitchen window. So people can just see inside my apartment.
The walls are paper thin and I can literally hear the conversations my neighbors are having.
I’ve had my car broken into and been harassed by the homeless people that live directly in front of the building. Do not lease here

this property is awful the building has repeatedly been broken into (mail stolen cars stolen out of garage homeless people walking into the building and sneaking into peoples units) and management refuse to make any adjustments. Amenities are constantly breaking down and are rarely fixed (elevator, AC, Water Heaters, washer, dryer). save yourself the nightmare and DO NOT RENT HERE IN FACT STAY AWAY FORM ALL PROPERTIES THAT ARE OVERSEEN BY MILLER AND DESATNIK

The management company Miller and Desatnik is awful and criminal. They lie, avoid, let their apartments rot, won't fix your A/C, mickey mouse fixes and ignore their tenants. They blame the tenants for anything. Don't believe, go to their main offices in Culver and you'll see tenant complaining and cursing in frustrations. You can only assume the one thing they care about...

Decent apartment for the price. Sound insulation between each floor is quite poor and no double pane windows. Dim lighting in hallways, carpeting needs replacement, walls need a new coat of paint. Parking is tandem underground with tight spaces.
