This corporation is currently building $250k tacky little homes on tree-less lots in a neighborhood where homes were previously selling for $325k+. This is disgraceful and something needs to be done to stop it.

Wade Jurney Homes building company is a crew of scam artists.

In June of 2017, our new construction home that we purchased in November 2016 flooded. We initially believed the problem was that the drainage pipe in our front yard that had been put in was way too small. A new pipe was put in that was much larger after the flood, however we are still having issues whenever it rains. We have been told by multiple contractors and disaster clean up employees that our house was not built to proper standards and will absolutely flood again. Since the initial flood, the house has come dangerously close to flooding several times, and this is without hurricane rains. We have not been compensated for the thousands of dollars in personal belongings and furniture that had been destroyed, nor for the emotional damages we have suffered the past year. We are constantly living in fear that our house will flood again at any moment. Our builder, Wade Jurney Homes, refuses to do anything to fix the problem that resulted in the flood and told us to "wait the test of time" and has stopped returning our phone calls. Wade Jurney is trying to blame the city for approving the land and the city is blaming the builder, claiming what they have done to fix the issue is sufficient. As the city and builder continue to point fingers at one another, we are the ones suffering the consequences. Thursady night our house flooded once again. Water was coming in through the front door and the walls. The garage flooded as well. The builder initially said they would come look when we contacted them last Friday, but have been dodging our calls ever since. This most recent flood occurred after about 20 minutes of hard rain. There is no chance our home will be able to withstand the upcoming hurricanes, yet Wade Jurney Homes does not care. We were told after our flood last week that we will not be helped because we are not under the 1 year "warranty" any longer, even though we reported this issue while the house was under warranty, and Wade Jurney clearly failed to fix the problem. They are an extremely dishonest company that needs to be exposed before they continue to ruin more lives. There are several bad reviews and complaints directed towards them, but they are continuing to build new houses daily. If anyone can put us in contact with a lawyer we would greatly appreciate it.

Before you purchase a Home from Wade Jurney Homes ( Raleigh/Greensboro) believe the reviews are true. I cannot believe that this builder/Company has not been reported for building poor quality homes. My family and I took all necessary precautions before moving into our home and it's been one headache after another. True the price is very eye catching....but Customer Service /warranty sucks! Regardless of how many times you call and threaten them after or before you move in...they do not care. They push the blame back and fourth on each other .The company is made up of a group of local business (contractors, electrician etc.) these are the people that you would contact under your warranty when you move in. When you call for help under your warranty. there is very little urgency. Some contractors are located outside of the Raleigh area and you have to wait until they are in your area to come to you. Please Please don't purchase a home from this builder unless your ready for the headaches. The home will pass inspection but you will later find out you still have major problems....in my home just a few months and I have yet to have my issue repaired. Once they you close...and that's if you close on time...they will treat you like strangers. The response you will get is "call the numbers in your cabinet" which are a list of warranty vendors.

Update: April 2019 Wade Jurney home warranty department called and Jeff will be sending someone out to repair my floors. Jeff has given the best customer service out of my entire time dealing with Wade Jurney!

Update: I moved in May 2018 & today Feb 2019 the upstairs floors sound like a house from the 1800's. In some spots the wood under the carpet is coming up causing my kids to hurt themselves. I messaged the builder & he came out and promised they would be back to fix it, that was Oct 2018! I contacted the home warranty dept. 3 weeks ago and again, nothing!

I am so scared after reading these reviews! I just entered my contract 2 weeks ago. I think I'm going the other way. If I don't I'm going to try my best to stay on top of the build out process! This isn't good Wade Jurney!

I am thoroughly surprised and shocked at the negative reviews of Wade Jurney Homes! However, I understand that everyone's experiences are different. I bought my WJ home 6 years ago add have loved every bit of it. I bought it mid-construction and watched all of the detail put into it. I had a couple of issues within the 1st year. But when I called, they were friendly, responsive and immediately came out and fixed the problem with no charge to me and have not had any problems since. No, they do not put fancy fixtures and finishes in their houses, but the construction is solid, the available floor plans are fantastic and the value is unmatched. One can easily upgrade the interior finishes (which for me were just fine) if they choose. The big picture is that it's a great house with LOTS of value which is much of why I went with a WJ house and why they are the #1 builder in this area. Paid $120,000 for a house that is now worth $200,000 6 years later and sought after in the same neighborhood being finished out by a much more expensive builder...which by the way, many buyers are dissatisfied. SO, I came across these reviews as I was checking WJ website for my possible next home/investment. As long as the houses are in a nice neighborhood that has the potential to stay a nice neighborhood, I highly recommend WJ Homes.

I feel compelled to leave a review as I’ve been in my home for a month and a half and after seeing some reviews up here. I purchased my home from the High Point studio and I dealt with Sherri, Courtnee, and Damien. They are some of the nicest people I’ve ever worked with and personally I think they go above and beyond in terms of customer service. Last night, I sent an email at 9 PM and had a response by 10 PM. Where do you get fast service like that?! I literally had no stress the entire building process other than deciding what furniture to buy. The house was done when they said it would be and I had one mechanical issue after closing. I randomly ran into the maintenance supervisor (wish I remembered his name because he’s awesome) and told him the problem, he fixed it right then and saved me a phone call. He also did my walk through and was patient and detailed which really helped me. My house is amazing and high quality. I can’t speak for anyone else but I would use Wade Jurney again in a heartbeat. I would give Wade Jurney a chance and physically meet with them before deciding to go off what people say up here.

I purchased my home in High Point, NC and overall it was a great experience! The Wade Jurney Homes staff made the process so easy and seamless. They gave me frequent updates during construction so i knew exactly what to expect and made sure everything was complete before our scheduled closing date. The customer service manager is extremely responsive and went out of his way to make sure we were 100% taken care of. I would highly recommend Wade Jurney Homes to anyone!

The house wasn’t bad when I purchased it and of course it’s gonna have its problem later on down the road but there customer service is terrible took and still takes me weeks to get in contact with the builders or for them to contact you back regarding a warranty request. They could have did a way better job and spaced out the house to give people more lot but they rushed them up to get a quick buck. Me personally I like my house not many issues so far but wade jurney definitely a thumbs down and I would not recommend them to anybody. And I bought my house last year
