I recently stayed at this property with family and friends, and it was a terrible experience from start to finish. As someone with sensitive skin and dust allergies, I was horrified by the level of dirt and dust everywhere. The property was absolutely not ready for Airbnb—it felt neglected and unmaintained.

The furniture was old and uncomfortable, and most of the electronics didn’t work. Everything seemed damaged or broken, from lights to appliances. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, making it impossible to get a good night’s sleep.

To make matters worse, the property looked NOTHING like the pictures on Expedia. It was a complete misrepresentation. This place ruined our trip, and I would strongly advise anyone considering it to look elsewhere.

We stayed at one of the places under this company for thanksgiving with all of our friends, when we booked the place through Expedia we saw the pictures and everything looked nice and clean. When we arrived, dishwasher wasn’t working, furnitures were old and not a good quality (not what you see in the pictures) oven wasn’t working, barbecue wasn’t working, we asked to get some credit back and followed up several times and each time they said they are going to call us, and they never did. Added the picture of what they are advertising on Expedia vs what you see in person.

Simply put, the house is not Airbnb-ready. The location of the home is gorgeous, with awesome deer visiting as neighbors... and that’s about it. We thought the size and location would make it great for a family with kids, but it fell so far short of expectations that we were honestly stunned.

The house just felt neglected. There was mold around the showers, some appliances and electronics didn’t work, and the hot tub was dirty and clearly not maintained. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, making it impossible to get a good night’s sleep, which was a huge letdown for a trip we were looking forward to. On top of that, the WiFi was incredibly spotty and unreliable, which made it even harder to enjoy our stay or stay connected when we needed to.

And then there were the ridiculous charges. We were charged $300 for each extra car we had-two cars in total-which added $600 to the cost of our stay just for parking. This, despite the fact that the property has a large driveway and plenty of street parking. At some point, this isn’t just poor hospitality-it feels like theft. It left such a bad taste in our mouths and completely ruined any remaining goodwill we might’ve had.

When we reached out to the homeowner or management, they gave us plenty of promises but no action. Nothing was resolved during our stay, and by the last day, their communication became completely unprofessional-like they didn’t care anymore. Most of these issues would be easy to fix with some effort and investment, but it’s clear they aren’t willing to do what it takes to make this place livable. It’s a waste of a home with so much potential.

I hate leaving bad reviews, and I usually avoid them because I don’t want to hurt anyone’s business. But this is just too far, especially given the premium price we were charged. The pictures on Expedia versus what we walked into were night and day. If it were just us adults, we could have chalked it up to a bad experience and walked away. But with kids in the picture, it’s not that easy to just turn around and leave when the place isn’t what you were promised. We felt stuck and completely let down.

Save your time, money, and energy-DO NOT stay here. The few good reviews honestly feel questionable, like they were left by family or friends to cover up how bad the experience really is. Between the poor condition of the house, the unreliable WiFi, and the outrageous parking fees, this was one of the most disappointing stays we’ve ever had. I would never recommend it to anyone.

I recently stayed at the property that was managed by Sierra Oak and the upon arrival I noticed that the house is really not airbnb ready, there were no towels, no soap and shampoo, in the kitchen there was very limited amount of cooking items and we had to go out and buy our own. The bed we were suppose to be sleeping on was broken as you see in the picture. when we were done I didnt want to put a review cause I know I'd put a bad review, but the host called me and texted me multiple time saying please write us a good review so they can grow their business, I wrote a good review for them and as soon as I hit post review, he called me asking for more money!!!

Please please whatever you do dont stay with Sierra Oak, if you end up staying because sometimes they hide the company name, make sure to take pictures of everything and send it to Airbnb as a record of time and picture. I really really felt betrayed and tricked with games they played.
