My partner and I really enjoyed our homebuying experience with Melissa Stone at EXP Realty. I have fully (and traumatically) been through the process once and my (anxious) partner never, and Melissa was able to work with us over a set timeline of 4 months to go from leasing a house to owning a home.

Melissa ensured that we understood what she provided as a agent, what all of the "contracts and forms" (and all the SECTIONS) were, and what all the major steps were from securing financing before starting the search to what to expect on closing day. I personally feel that Melissa specializes in taking care of first-time/traumatized/anxious buyers, but of course can accommodate a wide range of clients.....it's just hard to find a buyer's agent that is so very chill about not pushing a fast sale, but also very capable of guiding clients confidently to their target.

She worked very closely with our chosen loan provider and closing company to get all the details lined up so things went smoothly, didn't push any listings that we weren't interested in seeing, asked for feedback after every round of showings so she could narrow down her next set of suggestions, offered feedback on questions about listings we found ourselves by contacting the selling agent, the list goes on and on....her agent fee is well worth it.

I can understand wanting to save a few bucks and trying to go rogue/no-agent, but if don't have the knowledge or experience, using Melissa is a very good way to gain a solid foundation of both while ensuring you also get a solid home from a legitimate seller, with the help of federally-regulated lenders and other fully-licensed professionals. Or you can own some oceanfront property in Arizona...I hear that they'll throw the Golden Gate in for free!
