The Grand Canyon is amazing for 30 min, until it all starts looking the same. So visit the different stops and check out the rock structures and the history!

Take the Williams Grand Canyon Railway for a special treat, especially during the Christmas Polar Express. Get matching PJ'S for your family! Book ahead, it gets sold out.

This KOA is about 50 mins from the canyon and could easily accomodate our 45 ft Class A and our tow vehicle (see pictures). Site was level. ||The pool area is nice and in the office they had native jewlery for sale and they have a coffee bar! ||You are close to Williams as well, which was on the old route 66 and there are some interesting places to visit.

Whoever the older lady was who was running the register in the store, the day we left, needs a course in customer service or at least re-evaluate the attitude she expresses to customers. I didn't anticipate her greeting to the members of my family to begin with "what do you want..." every purchase. No thank you or anything. And we spent a fair amount in the store. What an unappreciative grump...plus the sites were NOT worth the close to $90 a night. On the positive, The guy who advised us on the propane at Loves was helpful and personable...

This is a nice campground about 50 miles away from Grand Canyon. A bit further, but it’s in a good location. Good space between sites, wooden fence separating sites and fairly clean. Nice pool, but a bit on the warm side. That’s Arizona though!

Snagged a nice deluxe cabin for a night so we could go visit the Grand Canyon, watch the sunset, and go back to stay a little closer to the highway we'd need to get to the next morning. When we stay at KOA, we normally don't go for the deluxe and stay in a simple cabin or have our trailer, so this was fun to stay with our kids. It was clean, comfortable, and the loft and bunks were fun for our kids to pick a place they wanted to sleep. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Sometimes we don't mind a little glamping. The store was filled with fun stuff to shop for and we enjoyed buying a Chai and cocoa at the coffee bar before we left.

I loved this KOA. The grounds were very clean and cared for. The views were beautiful and is perfectly located to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. We really thought twice about pulling stakes up from this one.

Class C 23 ft.
This, to me, is the best choice for Williams Az. Only 6 miles to I-40 and town. Prices for groceries is very high, so be prepared for the ckout.
This KOA is much larger than it looks, very quiet at night, views of hills all around plus sunsets.
Has a nice reception building with ice creams, wine and odds and end gifts.
The work campers were very helpful and accommodating.
The spaces were wide on the passenger side but just enough space for a slide out on the other.
Trees on some of the average priced sights, the many tent sights were well covered as well as the highest priced sites.
A chevron station is right at the entrance with normal gas station selections and a large, native american jewelry section included. Easy walk.
Campground prices, like most, have increased but better than others.

The CONS: Floor plan promises bunk beds but it’s a medieval torture device in the form of a foldout couch bed that my teenage boys had to share, which gave them back problems for a few days during which they did several hikes. The shower curtain is positioned slightly outside the shower, so water pours into the floor. We didn’t have extra towels (even for 2 days’ stay) so we just made it work and wrung them out as best we could. The AC in the bedroom dripped into the floor every couple of seconds. There was already water in the floor when we got there. Had to use a bowl with a towel to catch it all quietly and avoid getting all our stuff wet. Told them about this at check out and they didn’t offer any compensation ($288/night), just, “Thanks for letting us know.” This was Cabin number 1, just fyi. Some curtains would be nice too, but that wasn’t a big deal.

the PROS: cute little fully furnished kitchen, all kinds of dishes, soap, and scrubbers, big fridge, stove, & microwave. The real beds (queen and king) were comfy, and there was a big porch which was super nice with splinter-free composite decking and a beautiful view. Had a grill and a big trash can. Most KOA you have to haul your trash to a dumpster. Water was very hot. Aside from the water in the floor situations, the place was well maintained.
