Oakwood Apartments in Milford OH. Bought by Preservation Partners after receiving a $9,300,000 Government State Loan to “renovate” the property. 3rd property management company in 3 years. Bills going unpaid with trash overflowing! Local News station does report. Incompetent office staff showing up to work in fuzzy pajama pants like she’s going to Walmart. Annual recertifications not done the last 2 years, utility reimbursement checks sent, but not given to the tenants…calling for the State of Ohio HUD to do an audit of ALL RECORDS of Oakwood Apartments from 9/1/2021 until present!!! Please take this government property away from these SLUMLORDS!!!

So the company runs the The Groves in oarngevill ca. They keep trying to evict a 90 year old hud tenant for smoking but every one at the apartment complex smokes. They want this 90 year old tenant to walk down two mettle flights of stairs walk to the front of the complex to smoke. There mail boxes are broken and told tenants to go to the post office to get there mail when in reality they are holding there mail in the office where there is no one there except when rent is due. They have gon through 7 different property managers they have lazy handyman they re did her apt and gave her a new door that sticks when it rains and she doesn't have a peep hole to see who is on the other side of the door. The gate is almost always broken. They want to raise there rent to almost two grand but insintivs like a work out room or pool again this is in a low income area. There's also hyper dermick needles

Preservation Partners is very unprofessional. It is very hard to reach someone from corporate. I still haven’t received a call from my last issue with their staff. They hire just anyone to run the leasing office. The leasing office staff is always lying about your payments. They write you receipts for your payments and then their supervisors say the receipts are void if you don’t have your money order purchaser receipts. Every leasing manager they have had in the office is rude, unprofessional, liars and cheats and so are their supervisors. They straight out lie and make it seem like you are being irate for taking up for yourself and prove their lies. They don’t do anything around the apartments to upkeep and they treat you like crap. They abuse their authority and talk to you disrespectfully because they can evict you.

$4000 in unpaid trash fees at a local apartment complex that has trash piled all over the dumpster areas. Pathetic.

Hello fellow renters. I am a resident in a complex Preservation Partners acquired about a year ago in Waldorf, Maryland. They are truly unique in the most horrific way!! As I have read from other reviews, we here in Maryland are experiencing the same rudeness, ignorance, disorganization, and nonchalant unprofessional attitude as residents who live in other parts of the country. Other tenants, including myself, have experienced the lost of our personal information (i.e. copies of social security cards, driver's license, passports, birth certificates, tax returns, bank statements, etc.) multiple times. I personally have been asked 4 times to bring this information into the office for my file with the last request being last week. I received a call at work requesting the necessary documents again because they had nothing in my file as far as paperwork, not even my lease agreement. Here too they have done some so called renovations. The contractors they are using are rude and inconsiderate. I came home from work one night last week after 8pm, to find the contractors left my front door wide open and the lights were on in my unit. I live in a duplex style apartment so my front door leads directly outside. The staff in the rental office tried to hurry me out of the office when I went in the next day to complain. I was told someone would contact me. You already know no one has reached out to me. This is just a few of my experiences. I am done trying to communicate with Preservation Partners. The problem starts at corporate in California and the poison flows throughout the organization to all of its properties. I am filing an official complaint with my local HUD office in Baltimore. I advise everyone else having problems to do the same at your local HUD office. Preservation Partners does not care about me or you as a resident and they are not going to change because we complain directly to them. We are just numbers for whatever perks they receive for owning subsidized housing properties. Change will not come unless we all start bombarding our local HUD offices. I plan on doing whatever I can to bring light to Preservation Partners and their management style.

This company is a racist company not because of the owner, but because of his property manager located in the office of 10311 Western Ave., Los Angeles the property manager and her assistance disrespected me more than twice and when I was calling to follow up, they hang up the calls telling me my application was thrown away. This is the worst place ever now on January 2023 I am still waiting from several employers, as they have said to me that they will send me an application and I have not received it at all. I don’t recommend this place it’s a disaster. Please everyone be careful specially, with your personal information.

I Literally could write a harry potter book on how many times my problems have not been answered I LIVE in ATLANTA, ga and this company iguess partners with my apartments when i say we get treated like dogs . Nobody cares they don’t answer, my kids have been bit twice by spiders which almost caused surgery for my 18 month old. My 6 month was bit and that’s actually eve more scarier. The apartment worry more about how the outside looks instead of the inside these apartments should he condemned they don’t help. They just steal the money for themselves. Im tired and there isn’t many places to live . This is really sad and nobody cares not even corporate.

UPDATE: This company claimed they sent our security deposit back to us within 21 days of move-out (as is the legal requirement), but the check did not get sent to us until the 27th, and only after we called and complained. They tried to cover their mistake by sending us two checks and claiming the first one got lost in the mail, but the date stamp on the check made it obvious that it had just been sent the day before. No apology, no response to our call or email, nothing. It's really a shame that they have such poor management. (We found a new home and we're much happier!)

This review is only my personal opinion based on the experiences I have had with this company over the past 9 months. I have been a long-time resident of an apartment complex that was recently acquired by this company. The new management has been really bad since they took over, and they treat their residents so bad, from my personal experience. The property supervisor and on-site manager will literally shout at you, interrupt you, or just walk away from you while you are talking to them, as they have done to me and my spouse on several occasions. It took them two months to fix damaged appliances and reimburse us for damaged property due to their negligence. When we brought this to their attention after months of waiting, they denied that we ever reported the damages.

They are rude to us, invade our privacy, and consistently fail to acknowledge requests to have things fixed or resolved. They try adjusting the semantics of the lease when they're trying to save money by making you remove fans and coolers from your apartment (since utilities are included in rent).

They accused me of drinking alcohol on the property and served me several notices of violation for things that never happened. When we complained of these things to upper management, they simply stated that they have done nothing wrong and will continue to treat us good, just as they always have.

The management skills on the premises are just awful, from what I have personally observed. But worse than that, there is no accountability when a mistake is made and there has not been a single apology to us for all of the issues that have come up because of their bad management.

I'm sad to say that after living here for 5 years, the new management has made it very uncomfortable and we are now moving because of the way we've been treated. We pay market price for rent and they have just decided to increase our rent to "above market price", which is not reasonable when dealing with such poor landlords (and no air conditioning).

While they haven't done anything that is "illegal", they have behaved as the absolute worst managers and business owners I have ever encountered. I can't speak for Preservation Partners as a whole, or for any of their OTHER properties, but as for the management team that runs their complex in the city of Fallbrook, it needs some serious improvements and I'm looking forward to moving.
