The staff at the front desk particularly Kelly, were wonderful. Upbeat and helpful. ||This is not an inexpensive hotel . You definitely pay for the location. The hotel itself is nothing to write home about. Pretty basic. We did get a king size room and it was pretty spacious. Room was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. ||We did have an issue with the AC not working in our room. They sent maintenance pretty quickly and he could not resolve. He had them move us and brought us the key. The new room had a working AC that did the job well.||The big issue we had was the Wi-Fi! It virtually does not exist unless you are in the lobby. VERY difficult for someone who works on the road and needs a good connection and high speed. If that is you, don't stay here. ||No in room coffee or microwave. It does have a sizable mini fridge with a small freezer compartment. ||The lack of Wi-Fi will keep us from staying here again.

We spent five nights at this hotel in early February. What impressed us at first was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Our room was clean, up-to-date, and very comfortable. It was also quiet, something we appreciate at our age. Beautiful scenery around the grounds, and I recommend sunset at the fire pit. |Since Death Valley is so sparsely populated, we appreciated the restaurant and the saloon on the property. Food was consistently excellent, and we noted that there was always something different available along with the usual menu items. Everything was reasonably priced, too- they aren‘t out to gouge you like the one other place we visited near Furnace Creek. So even if you don’t stay there, you should make it a point to eat here. |Overall a nice experience at a reasonable price point and an attractive property with staff that take pride in the place and take good care of you.

If you are looking for a convenient place to use a base camp within Death Valley, Stovepipe is a great place. The drive into and around the valley is quite long so it is useful to have a good launch point. Stovepipe front desk staff member was very friendly. We booked a superior room and it was nice and clean. It was further away from the main road, which was very nice. Keep in mind that rooms aren’t that soundproof so you will hear your neighbors. You will also hear the early risers when they leave to watch the sunrise. There was a mini-fridge in the room if you want to put drinks in. The bathroom has mounted products in the walls for soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. The hairdryer was actually pretty decent for its small size. The water pressure for the shower wasn’t the best, but it was fine to get all the dirt and sand you will encounter while you’re in Death Valley. There is a general store and a gas station across from the hotel. The gas station here is cheaper than the one in Furnace Creek, but it only has 87 grade. Also if you have an electric vehicle, double check the app to ensure the chargers are functioning. All the chargers were broken when we were there. Overall, if you want a clean place to rest up for the adventures in Death Valley, Stovepipe is very convenient.

Location in terms of proximity to the point of interests was great for us given the price and it is middle of nowhere ! We had dinner and food was great. Few veg. Options. The lentil soup was fantastic so was the stuffed pepper and Toll Road Salad. We had a great time. Not expensive given where it is located. The roo.s are not for sure sound proof as our neighboring room were noisy and the party went till some time.

Loved Stovepipe Wells! Highly recommend staying here. Centrally located to all the sites and dark at night for awesome star gazing. The staff could not have been nicer. From reception to the general store everyone one was helpful and pleasant. We are in the Saloon and we're so surprised at the vegan and vegetarian options for us. It never happens. The food was wonderful. The staff we met, Violet, Laura and Paul were incredible. They also were helpful in assisting us with choices of what sites to see and their favorites. They were spot on. Could not have asked for a better group of people. We will be back ❤️. Forgot to mention, our room was nice and big and had a fridge. Very clean.

The hotel is basic, food is basic, but it is beautifully located right near the Mesquite Sand Dunes for an amazing sunrise. If you request the Roadrunner rooms then at night you can walk out of your room go up a small hill and enjoy the dark sky. You can see all sorts of planets and stars. I would definitely stay here again!

Everyone we met here was friendly and helpful! It's a basic hotel that has all your needs in the middle of the park. The only negative was that we booked a queen bed but it turned out to only be a full, which is hard for people over 6 ft tall. Saloon had decent pizza, and the general store had cinnamon rolls and coffee.

From the time we arrived, until the time we left, everyone was so kind and friendly. It is a very welcoming place to stay. It was homey. We ate at the saloon. We had burgers and wings and they were very tasty. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We didn’t need anything at the general store but I didn’t think the prices were much higher than convenience stores at home. I was expecting higher. Lots of cute merch. Gas was over $1 less than Furnace Springs. Overall it’s a great pick for a place to stay in the park.
