The best real Italian food I’ve had in many years. The Oysters Rockefeller were outstanding and pure bliss. The Tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce and Marscapone Cheese was the best Italian food I’ve ever had. We also sampled the Rigatoni with sausage and peppers and wow it was delicious and authentic. The second generation, old school fine dining Italian is not to be missed. The wine list is excellent. The Cabernet Sauvignon from California was velvety, smooth and left a perfect finish in your mouth. The Tiramisu is some of the best I’ve ever had. Restaurants like this family owned operation don’t exist in Chicago anymore. This is truly a gem with outstanding food, and restaurant.

If Frank Sinatra were alive, this is where he'd be dining—Mart Anthony’s is hands-down the best Italian restaurant in Chicago! From the moment you step in, the warm and welcoming owner, John, makes you feel like the most important person in the room.
The food? Absolutely phenomenal. My favorite dish is the Chicken Saltimbocca, but the sugo and the sausage with peppers are just like my Nana used to make—pure comfort on a plate.

The new outdoor patio is magical, like dining inside a snow globe, complete with heated floors to keep you cozy. The valet guy is incredibly kind, and every server is the epitome of perfection, ensuring an unforgettable experience every time.

If you're looking for authentic Italian food served with love and old-school charm, look no further than Mart Anthony’s. It’s a true Chicago gem!

​Mart Anthony's is a legit gem tucked away on Hubbard. Feels like stepping into a classic Chicago joint with its cozy vibes and walls decked out in old-school photos. Kicked things off with their stuffed artichoke, and man, it was spot on. For the main, went with the braciole – tender, flavorful, and came with a side of pasta that hit the spot. Washed it all down with a glass of cabernet, adding about $10 to the tab. All in, dropped around $75 before tip. Service was top-notch; felt like family.

My new favorite place! The decor was perfect for any occasion, moody and dark inside for the cold nights...and light and beautiful on the new patio when you need spring badly. The staff were so friendly and kind, and the food was absolutely delicious. My daughter and I really enjoyed the experience, she had the veal parmesan and I always love a good wedge salad. Best Manhattan in town!

Happened upon this place passing through Chicago looking for authentic Italian food! We didn't expect to run into an authentic Italian experience as well!

My mouth is still watering at the mention of the name Mart! Absolutely everything was perfect!

We had the Sausage and Peppers Appetizer which was a nice hearty portion. Then we had the chicken Piccata as a special request from me and the lasagna. I am an Italian food snob, and I can not say enough about how we savored every morsel! Perfect red sauce, perfect Piccata sauce...

Then came the homemade desserts - the best cannoli we both ever had!!!!

Absolutely a must go to if you're in Chicago and looking for the best Italian!

Two different shrimp appetizers, whose Italian names I don't remember, were delicious. Soup with spinach and egg was something I hadn't tried before. I really liked it. Pork chops with broccoli and baked potato were fantastic. I love this restaurant! Service is attentive and friendly. The atmosphere always makes me feel as if I belong here for a wonderful dinner experience.

This is an amazing establishment with a wonderful ambiance, attentive and friendly staff members, and food that makes you feel like love was put into it just for you. I personally loved the Italian sausage and peppers!
