I recently moved to Sumter just off of Hwy 521 and Mason Rd. and saw a trash pickup going thru the neighborhood getting all the trash cans dumped but not mine. Well, after calling the City of Sumter sanitation dept., I was told my home was not zoned in the city so they would not pick up my trash. The next ydoor neighbors beside me and across the street from me are in the city so their trash gets dumped. I have to get in touch with Waste Management because it is in the county. This is crazy! Why not have it broken up into neighborhoods to be assigned to either the city or the county. I'm highly upset.
Waste Management is horrible the way they do business.
