We liked our experience living here while TDY at Shaw. The apartment was beautiful, the pool and the gym and everything was great. The only thing that keeps it from a 5 star is that even back in 2020 (before the cost of living/housing went all crazy) when we lived there, the rent was pretty high. I assume it has gone up since then since everything has been expensive over the last 4 years. But overall, we had no issues when we lived there and I have fond memories of our time in our apartment.

I have been a resident at the Retreat since July 2020. The office managers and staff are always very helpful and pleasant as are the maintenance staff. I have never had any complaints.

Mahoghany was amazing! She gave us a tour and answered every single question we had, which was a lot! Also, Rebecca and Mahogany, have both replied very fast to any emails sent! We have had a very great experience so far!

I have been helping friends who are relocating to the Sumter area with the military to find suitable housing for their family. I checked out The Retreat and was so pleasantly surprised to see what a beautiful complex it is! Lauren, the property manager is so sweet and professional. She answered all my questions, and then helped my friends through the application process. She made everything so easy for them and assisted with their seamless move to Sumter. I would highly recommend The Retreat in Sumter if you were looking for housing in the area. Especially because of Lauren and her wonderful staff!
