Definitely do not recommend! Just because I have my family dogs here sometimes they say I have a dog and trying to say I need to pay the pet deposit really OK we will see. I think you need to be aware of APM and if you are any kind of professional person and have any kind of credit rating and any kind of rental references you need to Run and runs fast from APM I will definitely be running in three weeks and running fast. I don’t need their references so I don’t care if I get my deposit. I will see them in court. The pictures in the times stamp in the vet records show everything so I’m not worried they’re slumlords they’re liars so beware.

This rental agency is horrible. The maintenance team lies. The girl that answered phone lies. So much drama. I have excellent rental history and great credit and I fell in this rabbit hole due to location and LOVED my duplex. I HATE APM. they seriously will berate you and not fix issues , lie on you and try everything to get your deposit.

All I have to say is

CHECK MATE BEYOUCH!!

I am out in 10 DAZE AND COUNTING

BEWAEE OF APM. BEWARE ‼️?‼️?‼️?‼️?‼️?‼️?‼️‼️?‼️

I enjoyed my stay with APM. I had a few maintenance requests and all where replaced or repair in a timely manner. Tori Lisey is amazing to work with and response very quickly to all issues. Thanks

This place really really sucks. I spent a year at 302 Hoffman Street. The WHOLE time I have a.had issues. My house flooded 3 times from sewer back up. They still terminated my lease and now I have a FRAUDULENT $159.00 charge in my credit report. Susan Young is a crook and pretty much stolen from my family. Talked to owner of the property, Richard Locklair, and he felt intimidated and it would be in his best interest legally not to even talk to us!! The ones that pay his Rent. I would advise anyone to stay REAL clear or these people. They say that I cause three floods. The plumbers told me otherwise. I also know the last tenant after me. They raised the rent $200.00 and did NOT fix the flood issue.

Me and my wife have had issues with APM in the past, the first issue was with the first house we rented off 5th Ave in Decatur in 2019, they knew we had a cat, they even knew I was training a Siberian Husky to be a service animal for me, well after rodent issues with the house Susan found us a house in 2021 in the quiet town of Somerville, the rent was basically $1100 more than what we was paying at the old house, well my service dog was the first issue, they said I had to get rid of it or be evicted which pissed me off, second is they and the owner agreed to take care of the upper lot the gravel road and the creek(we took care of the land on the lower side around the house), which we had to constantly remind maintenance to take care of then last year maintenance ignored the land all together, we even reported the ramp to the shed was damaged due to the rain, all they did was move the old wood ramp under the metal overhang, then the plumber/handyman that came out in July 2023 over a upstairs master bathroom leaking water pipe who is a friend of the homeowner said he fixed it, well December 2023 comes around and there is water in the walls downstairs in the laundry room and dining room area, we called maintenance about that so for a month and a half we had to deal with ServPro coming out and taking stuff apart then given a 30 day notice by APM that the owner wants us out of the house why? Because to them we didn’t report the problem with the water leak before hand, so the next 30 days was hell because me and my wife were in disbelief and we didn’t have the funds to have a moving crew come out and put stuff in storage, so by Feb 17 and Feb 24 we finally had the money to get outside help to move stuff back and forth into a storage unit, here is the kicker, my wife after receiving hostile calls from APM the last 3 days, she went to the office on the last day to turn the keys in only to be meet by 3 individuals, didn’t allow her to talk, just took the keys and made her leave, now today she gets an email stating the house is destroyed, duh because the landlords handyman friend didn’t want to do his job, even after we swept the house, they claimed their was cat droppings all over the house, Servpro left the paper walkway so of course that was going to be torn up from moving, but now I don’t even care about getting the deposit back, because they will use any excuse to hang onto it, but the thing that pisses me off about APM is how they treated my wife and my Service dog

They won't give people a chance. Your credit score has to be over 600 before they believe in rent to you. Even though you have the money and you can show the proof that you can pay your rent. And then they wonder why people get so mad. I just think it's unfair. I can pay my rent just as well as somebody with a credit score of 700. My credit is not perfect but I'm working on it and I've got it way up it's almost 600.

I am an out-of-state owner and have used Advantage Property Management for property management, oversight of rehab units, purchasing new units, and selling off part of my portfolio. Susan, Sam, and Glenn have been incredible in keeping me informed, acting in my best interest, and most importantly hitting my investment targets. If you are another landlord hoping to find a great Alabama company to select tenants and 12AM plumbing issues, look no further than Advantage!

After 5 months they have not responded to a single service request, old dirty appliances, they rent house with roaches and then tell you Thys tin the contract you responsible to pay to have them removed, the service is just non existent at the moment, the owner of the house tried to use your garage as a storage (and still have a old dirty stove top in there), no calls get returned, yard is given over in an appalling state costing a lot to make it look half decent , the poor level of service is just not fair, everyone is friendly but we should be appreciated at least. Most the issues I have paid for and fixed myself because the service requests just get ignored, unfortunately I honestly can’t recommend the agency yet, really hope they try harder! Can’t even use the AC system because the house is so filthy underneath! We love the house and really don’t have many issues but we just don’t get any responses which is sad, maybe we will get a response to a bad review who knows?

Before we ever came to see any houses I fully explained my situation to the agent over the phone, he assured me I would be able to rent from them. While viewing a house he even went as far as to tell us that he thought it was a good house for us. So we went ahead and paid the $50 (which is ridiculous) for the application. Despite having informed them of my situation ahead of time, they went ahead and denied my application for exactly the reasons they told me wouldn't be a problem (they left me a voicemail). When I called back to discuss it further, they blew me off saying they would call me back, which they never did. Don't waste your money on these people. There are much nicer places in the area.
