Cute village close to the harbour and the coast. The Main Street is nice and has some cute shops but we found the staff in the shops to be quite unwelcoming - it made us have a bit of a feel of being ‘outsiders’. When walking round the streets people could say hello so the general public seemed friendly. Good walks in the local area and saw lots of wildlife like egrets, cardinals, squirrels and chipmunks! I would say for sure this is a very seasonal place, we visited in the days leading up to Memorial Day and it was very quiet, lots of the shops weren’t open long or opened late in the day.

A small and cute town in Rhode Island. Located on Wickford cove next to a water body and has a lot restaurants with outdoor seating. This place a lot of beautiful home and it's fun to walk around the place. Also, there are a lot of gifts and antique shops which is also fun. For enjoying this town to the fullest just park your car (there a lot of free roadside parking available) and start walking around the town. Eat, shop & Enjoy!

Wickford village is a real gem of Rhode island. It's charming and has a real community feel. Almost everyone I've engaged with is friendly and helpful, and there is a real willingness to share their sense of community and knowledge of the area. If you're looking for a romantic getaway with charm and a sense of adventure, I highly recommend it. There's so many great places to visit and eat dive in and enjoy.

A small quaint and unforgettable little town that is magical during times like Christmas and also during the Wickford Art Festival in the summer. Located on Wickford Cove right near the water where you can enjoy a meal and a drink outside overlooking the cove. Hard to beat the atmosphere here. Come and enjoy! Great little shops and antique stores too.

Beautiful town. We’re supposed to go to Newport and this town came on the route. And we ended up spending entire afternoon here. Weather was pleasant, the town had right ambience. Saw couple of good restaurants on the shore. Planning on visiting this place on evening.

The perfect quaint New England town, Wickford has beautiful views of the water and tidal inlets. There's a great lunch place for smoothies, salads, sandwiches and baked goods called +Shayna's Place as you enter from the south. Wickford is home to a library with exquisite views of both marsh and woods and a whole lotta great books and more. There are still a number of small gift shops, clothing shops, kitchen shops and other unique specialty stores, and has avoided chain stores other than the Rite Aid Pharmacy in its downtown (yay, Wickford!). There's a lovely garden store that has beautiful plantings and lots of nice places to grab a sandwich and eat outside. They also have a terrific farmer's market in the summer. Be sure to visit "My Paris Apartment" around the back of the Wickford Gourmet Factory Outlet (another great shopping experience). There's a great park for kids--Wilson Park with playground for little ones, basketball court, track and soccer fields. Lots of pretty flowering trees in spring. During the holidays, Wickford has some lovely traditions where Morris dancers perform, along with local choruses and other music groups. So much more, but I'll leave you to discover all that Wickford has to offer.
