My wife and I have nothing but great things to say about Slann Property Management! We recently had a house fire, and Tal helped us find a place to live while our house is being rebuilt. He quickly worked with me and the insurance company to get us into a very nicely renovated single family home that is perfect for our family of four. The house was very clean and ready for us to just move right in without any added stress. The management company has responded quickly to all our calls, texts, and emails. They have been nothing but kind and wonderful to us during this very difficult time. I highly recommend Slann Properties. Overall a terrific experience

I briefly lived in one of their homes, and it was not a good experience. I subleased from previous renters, and there were multiple issues when I arrived. For one of the bedrooms, the door would not close fully, and despite contacting them, nothing was done. Also, the area to get under the house had a broken door that could have easily allowed dead animals to get into, but they did not fix this either. The people I subleased from had told me that they had contacted them to fix these issues as well over a year before, but nothing was ever done. Furthermore, on multiple different occasions, they would leave one of my house doors unlocked after conducting a tour of the place. I emailed them about this issue, and no one ever responded.

Moved to Clemson from Greenville in 2017 and luckily found out a newly renovated house at a very reasonable rent by Slann properties. The owner Tal Slann responded to my email same day and showed me the place next morning. I have been at the same place for over 6 years and have not had any issues .

The maintenance crew from slann properties usually comes over the same day or next morning for any maintenance issues.

Online rent payment is easy and can setup monthly payments . Also they send out a monthly reminder before rent is due.

I personally can count on Tal wheather it was feeding a kitten that comes to my door while i was away or when i locked myself out on super-bowl night and that too after hours.Texted Tal Slann and as usual he personally went to office , got me a duplicate key and came over to let me in.

they regularly send out safety tips, weather alert warnings which is very helpful. Tal Slann also has been a big part of clemson community and recently was recognized by local animal shelter fr proving them with new equipment.

Would definitely recommend Slann properties to any1 looking for a place in/around clemson area.

I do deeply appreciate that Slann Properties supports owners of pets. I do have to note one red flag from my former experience, they are/were reluctant about responding in writing to a lot of emails. I very regularly had to drive out to the office and the management always made it clear they had read the emails and seemed fully briefed on my emails in in-person conversation, but they just far more often than not respond in writing, even after days. Also one or two contentious moving out charges particularly, eg. on cleaning the AC coils, because the air filters were changed the week before the move, and they tried to charge AC coil cleaning because the 'air filter was dirty'. It's a Husband/Wife team, one time I had to go in and get an in-person response to my email, requesting an extension of a day/some amount of hours (iirc), the Wife, graciously, agreed to the extension, I was having car breakdown issues and trouble getting things moved out on time with it. A little later on, when this extension occurred the Husband arrives onto the property, unlocks the doors and comes on in to do his move-out functions i guess, saw us still there and got upset/confused and accused us of squatting, resulting in unnecessary drama from what was clearly a lapse in communication, which was unfortunate because the Husband impresses me as someone very cordial otherwise, and he will make you a good cup of coffee at the office, they're both nice folks. That incident was all very anxiety inducing, even if understandable human error. So I throw a bit of caution leasing with them: get everything/important things in writing, etc. However, like another renter in the reviews here, I did email them once about a fallen tree, but in my situation it had not fallen on me, their house, or my car etc. but on the neighbor's property their back garden and some of their landscaping, so that was removed post-haste (not that I was emailed a 'thanks for the heads up' or anything, not necessary in that situation, but would have been nice; it just vanished within the next day or so). I don't recall any neglected maintenance issues, either, to the contrary I recall they were prompt when I reported a knocked over mailbox at replacing the mailbox. I believe there was also an issue with the chimney, had a bird hatchling fall down it at one point (poor thing!) they did come out iirc to grate the outside of the chimney again after that so it couldn't happen again. Didn't have any maintenance issues iirc on the inside, it was an older home but neat and functional overall (sans the porch, which the previous tenants stapled carpet to? probably sorted by now). More of my stay with them was hassle-free than not, and they were as I recall very professional when it came time to let the next potential-renters tour the property before we left in the spring. I just wish they had been more willing to communicate/reply more electronically overall, it could have saved a few headaches. This was a couple years pre-Covid, so they certainly could be more digital and responsive these days, YMMV.

If you are looking for a company to manage your home in Clemson look elsewhere. I rented in a home managed by Slann. Slann does not care about upkeep of homes. We filed multiple maitanence requests concerning large dead tree branches over our driveway. Slann did nothing about it. Eventually one broke and crushed the hood of my roommates car. Slann said it was not their problem because the tree was rooted on our neighbors property. This neighbors property was also managed by Slann. So really they were just happy to turn a blind eye. We are lucky no one was seriously injured from the branch falling. This was just one example of many.

The best I've worked with. In the two years I've lived in a property managed by Slann, we've had minimal problems. Two days ago, I noticed that our a/c unit was not cooling the home. Within five minutes after placing a phone call with Slann, they had someone out to fix our a/c. I couldn't be happier renting here, and have already referred friends to this company.

Slann properties is, by far and away, the best company I have had the pleasure of renting from. After dealing with a handful of other companies and having bad experiences, I was beginning to lose hope in the Clemson rental market. Renting from the Slanns could not be easier. This past spring there was a leak in a pipe that, unfortunately, resulted in a section of dry wall needing to be removed. Within two days maintenance was there with a california patch over that bad boy. My girlfriend also lives in one of their rental units; this Fall her towel rack pulled out of the drywall and maintenance promptly fixed it SAME DAY! I have never heard of property managers that were so prompt and caring about their properties. I could not recommend Slann properties enough. 10/10 best rental experience I will likely ever have.

Best place I’ve stayed during my 4 years at Clemson! Perfect location and the view of the lake so pretty! The property owners are so nice and even came on a Sunday (very quickly too) to let me in my place when I locked myself out.
