Cannot edit my previous post.

The harassment is real. We have lived in an association community for 5.5 years. The harassment has been present for those 5.5 years.

I talked with Patrick Thompson president of Associa. He informed me that they were a company that was hired and had to send violations to prove their worth.

We re-did our landscaping in 2020 during Covid. We went through the process of getting everything approved. We submitted the plans to the HOA and did everything in our power and we’re STILL harassed (see pictures). We were accused of telling neighbors we were going to go behind the HOA. There was no basis for this nor any apologies.

Again if you live in a neighborhood managed by this company be prepared to be harassed.

The next part in this mini part series about how associa can’t manage a dollhouse is this.

One of our neighbors was working with a builder to build a house for profit. That neighbor and builder were part of the reason we were harassed. They continually reported us about our landscaping which associa sent to us without any confirmation that we were actually doing anything wrong. I don’t have physical proof but had to talk to Angie Gomez Perez about it. She informed me that I was correct that our neighbor was reporting is.

Instead of dealing with the neighbors associa just decided to harass us. I fought fire with fire.

I reported all job sites from that builder and was met with the fact that I was “threatening”. Was I sarcastic? Yes. Threatening you can decide.

Associa cannot understand how or when to send violations and when to tell a homeowner that they are in the wrong. Please see attached information on how associa can harass the homeowner but not take responsibility for the job they were hired for.

I get that their job is to get compliance. What I don’t get is how they can harass people about one thing and when I report the same exact thing I am threatening? There is one answer. It’s a terrible company that needs to be shut down.

If you don’t believe me how mismanaged our community is I have also attached photos of discussions on the community board. There was a speed table built in the community that was not only done poorly but unsafely. The community has been in outrage on the safety yet where is associa? Nowhere. What a completely inept and dysfunctional business that cannot understand how to run a community.

If you are looking for someone to run your community ask yourself is this it? If you are moving into a community managed by associa ask yourself if you want to deal with this.

Emily Hurden of Savannah Quarters in Pooler GA is truly an asset - both to your company and to the residents here! She is super responsive and generous with her attention to every request or inquiry I’ve made. She personally gets involved when a repair is needed. I’ve never seen her flustered - she remains friendly and professional when occasionally dealing with stubborn contractors (& residents). She really deserves recognition for her commitment to providing excellent service.

Associa manages our HOA and does a terrible job. So many notices are sent out that are not true that I will need to be filing a lawsuit soon for harassment. We were fined $100 for “miscellaneous equipment” in our driveway. When asked what it was I was told “as I recall it was sports equipment”. No evidence was shown nor was the fine reversed.

I count 6 things we have been notified for in 2 years that were not correct. They seem to continue to send violations without appropriate evidence.

I would caution on any development using them or anyone buying into their neighborhoods.

When working with Associa directly, my concerns and repair requests are addressed in a timely manner. Craig Lester, along with Emily Durant, have provided open communication, shown they are knowledgeable of the rules and regulations of our community and have always been professional and courteous.

Our experience with Associa as the property management team for Surf Court has been positive overall. Associa has been our property manager since the 90's. During that time, Craig Lester, Emily Durrant, and Patrick Thompson have been instrumental in guiding the Board of Directors. They are helpful and approachable, and the entire team is professional, welcoming, and committed to supporting owners and board members.

Craig manages multiple communities and strives to deliver the best outcomes for each, always working hard to resolve challenges and keep things moving forward. Emily’s organizational skills and proactive communication help ensure we are kept informed, while Patrick is quick to address issues that arise and works diligently to find solutions.

While there have been occasional challenges, we genuinely appreciate the team’s efforts to maintain Surf Court and foster a collaborative relationship. We value their hard work and recommend Associa for property management services.
