Matt was awesome. I’m a first time home builder and he made it super easy. His team was spot on. We hit some ruff spots waiting on well drillers but Matt made it smooth and easy and got it figured out in no time. I would highly recommend him again and again. If I had any questions he was just a phone call away. To be honest Matt made this whole project smooth and seamless. It seems like everyone has had a horrible experience with contractors and they are quick to tell you about it. I promise you won’t have that problem with Matt he's dependable honest timely and professional he went above and beyond working around my work schedule. I’m glad I had him for my first home.

In 2016 my husband and I began researching modular home companies in our area. While we visited some immediately around us, they just could not meet our needs and/or our budget. So, I began the daunting task of checking out reviews and calling companies further away. This is when I met Greg Brooks.

Greg took a LOT of time out of his day the first time I got him on the phone. He explained to me the differences between modular home companies, what Carolina County Homes offered and even gave me advice when talking to other modular home companies (ex: questions to ask, etc.). He never pressured me, he never rang my phone off the hook and he never sent me countless emails like the other companies. It was a GREAT first impression!

In the spring of 2017, my husband and I purchased an acre of land. After our closing I called Greg again and asked advice on clearing the land, what they needed us to do to the land, etc. Again, he took time to answer all my questions with absolutely no pressure or guarantee that I would buy from them. Mind you, I probably called or emailed him several times during this process with questions and he never made me feel pressured ... he was just, genuine!

Well, we hit a few snags along the way. I won't go into details, but it wasn't until spring of 2019 (yes ... 2 years later) that we were finally ready to build. Now over those 2 years Greg and I did keep in touch every couple of months. Again, he was patient and very kind. I told my husband that we needed to make the couple hour drive to Lancaster SC to meet him and give him an opportunity to sell us our home. He had certainly deserved it!

We set a date and took the drive there. What a wonderful and fun experience! We combined two houses and became, I believe, the second person to order a Westberry 1800. What a great home! We liked two of their models and Greg suggested we look at the 1800. He had drawn it up earlier for another couple. There was no model we could walk through but Greg helped us by making it so realistic on paper that we signed paperwork that day purchasing one.

Now is where the story gets a little sidelined. Champion Homes got back logged with plans and permitting due to updated codes. It took them 15-16 weeks to get the plans done and then another few weeks to build the house. Champion did try to make it right by upgrading our kitchen, but it was Carolina Country Homes that really came through!

Shortly after we ordered the house, we met Brent Rogers, our local site plan manager/builder, at our property to go over where we wanted to put the house, talk about utilities and go over what to expect from there. From that first day we knew we were in excellent hands with Brent! He is knowledgeable, trustworthy, hardworking ... I could just go on and on. When he finally got the house to our property, he took care of business.
He made suggestions along the way and made sure that our dream home became a reality. He spent countless hours on the phone with my husband or me asking questions, making sure that our home was exactly the way we wanted it. He even went above and beyond taking care of some minor land issues we had. I can truly say that, during this process, he made us feel like it was his home and he was moving into it, making sure that everything was as it should be. It was a wonderful feeling having someone take care of you like that, especially when they are building your dream home!!!

Julie Dutton handles all their closings. She is amazing! She kept up with my bank, my lawyer and me. She coordinated everything flawlessly. When she met me at the house to give me the keys to it after closing, she went through all the warranty paperwork and answered every question I had. The warranty papers were in a binder and very well organized.

I highly recommend Carolina Country Homes when choosing your next home. They make you feel like family ... before, during and after. We have made some great friendships along the way 🙂

Currently doing some remodel work on a home built by this company. Jesus Christ the quality control is terrible. The home was built just under 10 years ago and it seems to be halfway falling apart already. The absolute worst drywall job I have ever seen. Cracks and bumps everywhere. Crown molding was cut short all around the house with half inch gaps between some. The flooring is hideous and poorly installed. The framing is horrendous as well based on the fact that almost every wall is crooked. Homeowner has said many times she regrets buying from this company. Based on what I have seen so far- this company doesn’t ensure quality work at all.

I would give one star, but thankfully our experience changed for the better in the last few weeks. Our original site manager, Will, single-handedly ruined the majority of our experience. I don’t feel there is a need to go into details, as the issues were resolved, but if you decide to work with CCH and are assigned Will, I would strongly suggest asking to work with anyone else. After a lot of frustrations, I was able to speak with the owner Mark. He was friendly and responsive to our concerns. Immediately after our project was re-assigned to Matt, he began getting things done right away. The house quickly came together and his team, Brian and Josh, ensured that we were receiving quality work. He kept us informed with frequent updates and made sure our house was done with integrity. We ultimately went over on the estimated 90-120 day timeline by 6-7 weeks, but work that had been delayed or ignored by Will was completed within 1-2 weeks by Matt. We were finally able to close today, and I feel that we are walking away with a quality home. I appreciate that there is a 30 day review to fix any issues we discover as we live in the home. The experience was long and frustrating, but I appreciate those that worked to improve the situation and get us into our house.

During our search for a new home my wife and I have gone to stick builders, manufactured homes, and modular. This is was by far our worst experience. I made an appointment with Gregg he was less than helpful, and we would ask questions and the response was " I emailed that to you already". He in fact did not email that information or provide any answer. Gregg would only tell us stories on other houses he helped with. During our appointment another couple walked in that wasn't on the schedule, but had a better idea of what they wanted and we were quickly abandoned by Gregg. This ended up being the best thing that could have happened. We ended up at Regional Modular home in Lumberton NC, and they have been wonderful. They have approx 10-13 model homes on the property. Every question has been answered and every desire on our home has been met beyond exaptation.

Process was rocky at the start as it is with any home building process but Matt came in at the final stages and had been a blessing even after we closed! He has reached out multiple times to make sure we love our home. Thank you Matt and the CCH team!

A company that sells modular homes, with nice staff. You do get a lot for your money, and they make very clear what is covered for the price of the house. After looking at some high-end mobile options including Clayton, I feel this is a better bet and we will probably end up purchasing a home from them. Sturdier construction, and the quality of a stick-built house without the wait-time is very appealing. May be an option for those purchasing tracts of land who have gotten "sticker shock" with a stick-built house, but are not allowed to have a mobile home as their primary residence on the property.

I typically do not give reviews, but I am for Carolina Country Homes due the amazing experience we had when purchasing our home a couple of years ago. Our sales rep, Cary, worked around his schedule to meet my wife and I on a Saturday morning to show us the model homes. We do not live close to Lancaster so we had to coordinate the trip and Cary went out of his way to meet us. He did an amazing job showing the on-site house, explaining everything, and working within our budget. After looking at a few of the model homes, we decided on The Concord. We opted for just about all of the options that were in the model. Once we made the decision, Cary went to work to get the ball rolling as soon as possible. We were on a tight timeline and our builder, Brent, went above and beyond to meet the deadline. Brent kept up informed throughout the entire process, which was very refreshing. We did meet the deadline and have been in the house now a little over 2 years and we love it! CCH was super responsive to any issues we had after the build and took care of them quickly while communicating with us every step of the way. The quality of the build is on par with traditional site-built homes but much more budget friendly.

This was some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. Cary and I still chat every now and then 2 years later. Julie, Brent and Cary truly made this experience a phenomenal one. I want to thank everyone a CCH who worked to get us into our home within the time frame requested and for the high quality of the home. I wouldn’t have done anything differently if we had to do it all over again.

I highly recommend CCH to anyone looking for a modular home. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

P.S. Cary….RTR! 😊
