BTD Custom Building provided excellent service - as a contractor and completing demolition and finish work - in renovating 2 bathrooms for us. Ben Doyon was exceptional at providing quotes and communicating progress. He was extremely responsive to questions and requests and even communicated proactively - which is rare in our experience with contractors. Ben Doyan of BTD Custom Building was an absolute pleasure to work with on a recent, major renovation project on our home. Ben and his team made what was dream for our forever home into reality. We had several local contractors bid on our project but right from the beginning we knew we made the right choice with BTD. With Ben's guidance and direction in dealing with our designer, a few suggestions simplified the construction process and saved us thousands of dollars $$$. Five years ago my husband and I bought a small cape built in 1950. We decided we would be happiest if we were primarily on one floor instead of going upstairs to sleep and to the basement for laundry.

Our daughter completed a kitchen renovation and was very happy with BTD Custom Builders. We met Ben Doyon and his crew during that work. Well before we signed a contract with Ben, he spent many hours meeting, discussing and planning what we were trying to do.

One of the most important things Ben advised was to use an architect, and he suggested two whose work he was familiar with. Without a doubt that was one of the best investments we made. Rendition after rendition, we tweaked our plans until we felt they were as perfect as possible.

Our addition incorporated an existing bathroom, two closets and a small first floor bedroom. The overall increase in floor space was 480 sq ft but combined with the old space we now have a first-floor suite which includes a large master bedroom with a gas fireplace sitting area, office space, laundry room, full bathroom with a walk-in shower and water closet. We were also able to install a clawfoot tub and a lot of closet space! We now have about a 750 sq ft master suite.

Ben advised building a full basement under the addition and, with the new bulkhead, we now have easy access to all that storage space.

Our project started in April of 2023, and we were finished before Christmas. No one wants to be dislocated from their home for that much time, but Ben and his crew kept hammering away until it was finished. Importantly, Ben scheduled his concurrent projects effectively and we never felt we were not moving forward. The workmanship and skill put into this work always impressed us. Ben and his men welcomed our questions and really helped create a sense of true partnership. The men on Ben's team and the contractors he hired were respectful of our home and our neighbors. Most found it entertaining.

Our home meets our needs now, we can see ourselves being happy in this space for the rest of our lives. We can recommend BTD Custom Builders with no reservation and complete honesty.
