This is the second year that my family, three young adult children and I have stayed at the Holdredge house/cottage for several weeks during the months of July and August. We all enjoyed our stay and we're planning to make this a summer tradition. Jane and Charlie, the hosts, are wonderful, very accessible and responsive. The house & cottages are just a short walk to several beautiful stretches of not very crowded Watch Hill beaches. They are very clean and well stocked with everything we needed during our stays. We enjoyed cooking dinners (using the grill), eating outside on he porch while watching the most beautiful sunsets on the bay each evening. We had easy access to everything...great shopping, the famous Carousel, St. Clair's ice cream, Olympia Tea Room and the Ocean House The owners are members of the Carousel Beach and renters have access to beach and all its amenities (restrooms, changing rooms, umbrella/beach chair rentals, food stand.) I enjoyed morning walks at Napatree Point while my son surfed at East Beach- absolutely gorgeous. An added bonus is that the houses & cottages are all equipped with updated wifi and cable TV. These rentals do not have AC but that was not a problem for our family. The air cooled down significantly in the evening and the ocean breezes made for very comfortable sleeping. I highly recommend Holdredge Rentals if you are looking for a wonderful place to stay in Watch Hill.

Our family of three has stayed at the Holdredges' Cottage for 17 years during our annual family beach vacation. Jane and Charlie are consistently wonderful hosts and our cottage is always neat, clean and ready for us. For the few suggestions that we have offered over the years to make our stay more comfortable, Jane and Charlie have always been very responsive. We host our family reunion during this week, and they have been very helpful with extra chairs, tables, etc. If you want to be in Watch Hill, this is the place to stay!

Our family stayed here at the end of July, 2017 and had a wonderful experience. Jane & Charlie are easy to communicate with and the units are well maintained. Our family booked both cottages for a week, it is a very special place. One floor spacious layouts in both A & B. Charming, clean, comfortable beach cottages. The proximity to town is incredible, walking distance to town, carousel, Watch Hill Beach and East Beach. We have two young boys, 4 & 2, who had a blast walking (more like, getting pulled in a wagon) everywhere. Highly recommended for a truly beach town getaway.

If you want to be able to relax and enjoy Watch Hill and all that the area has to offer, I highly recommend Holdredge House and Cottage Rentals. We have stayed there every year, for the past 6 years and I look forward to it every year. All three of the properties are inviting and cozy. The breezes are wonderful, and the pounding surf can be heard when the tides are high . Owners Jane and Charlie will welcome you and make your stay wonderful. I stay in one of the cottages and and feel totally at home. You will also.

What a great place for a family beach vacation! Jane and Charlie are great hosts. This was our first stay and we can not wait to return. The cottage was all we needed for a great week. There are many beaches to explore. We were able to launch our kayaks nearby. I highly recommend staying at the Holdredge House!

My husband and I have rented from Jane and Charlie for several years! The home is clean, spacious, and has all the amenities of home, situated on a very nice private property! It has been a wonderful gathering place to spend time with our adult children! The views are spectacular, whether at sunset, early morning, or after sunset with the lights of the boats in the harbor! Sometimes we can hear the surf crashing on the other side of the sand bar. The town is a few minutes walk away, with a fine dining establishment and several other smaller restaurants, all family oriented. East Beach and the lighthouse are also a few minutes walk away as well as the private beach that is available to guests of the Holdredges! We highly recommend this rental! You won't be disappointed! Jane and Charlie go out of their way to insure a most pleasant visit!

Lovely week long stay in the main house. Very clean, well stocked kitchen, and three comfy bedrooms, two full baths. Beautiful harbor view from deck, yet super quiet at night. Rented bikes and we could either walk or bike into town or to the beach. Loved walking in the morning to the lighthouse or to Napatree point which is gorgeous. The house comes with ample parking and really don't need a car once you get there. If you know Watch Hill, parking is a premium. Jane is very easy to work with and made sure that we had everything that we needed. Go to Cooked Goose for breakfast. Best eggs benedict...you can ride a bike there too. Recommend the Holdredge House highly!

We have stayed in the Holdredge House for the past two years. First of all, it is immaculate and well-stocked with everything you could possibly need. The location is wonderful. A short walk (5 minute) to a great beach, shops and restaurants. Definitely recommend!!!
