I worked with Rafael throughout my process of purchasing a co-op and I have never worked with anyone who is unreachable (seemed like he was always on vacation, or not at his desk) and always delegated to someone on his team and his team members didn't respond to any of my emails. I was promised a closing date and they did not succeed with meeting the promise. I've worked with many mortgage brokers in my past but Rafael was the first who was VERY hands off of my process. He kept pointing fingers at my lawyer instead of fixing the problem. He had no empathy towards my father being sick and not being able to respond to him quickly enough. I requested to change my point of contact at CrossCountry but nobody at the office got back to me about this. Eventually I ended up closing later than promised and paid $1000 out of pocket for the lateness. I suggest if you want a smooth process do not work with CC or if you I advise do not work with Rafael Reyes.

I closed on my first home (co-op) two weeks ago with the help of Rafael Reyes and the CrossCountry Mortgage team. I am very pleased with the service that they provided starting from the very first phone call right down to the post-closing check-in. During the time in between, Rafael has always been professional, responsive and provided me with answers to all of my questions. The entire process (especially underwriting!) can be daunting but thankfully their online system was user friendly and easy to navigate. Rafael and his team would also send follow-up emails and/or make phone calls to ensure that each step is being communicated clearly so that the process can move along accordingly. Overall, I am very happy and satisfied with the product and outstanding customer service that I received. I definitely recommend Rafael/CrossCountry Mortgage to anyone looking to finance their home.
