Hampton Ridge in Jefferson, GA is an awesome new community by Piedmont Residential. It’s in a really pretty area surrounded by estate homes and open pastures so the views are great. The homes are well done—modern, stylish and packed with nice features. I especially love the ranch-style options. The site agent Melissa has been super helpful and easy to work with. We haven’t made a final decision yet but Hampton Ridge is definitely at the top of our list!

I was recently in Jefferson and decided to stop into Hampton Ridge. It’s a new home community by Piedmont Residential. The onsite agent Melissa was super helpful and I previewed the community while I was there. I love where it’s located, really peaceful in that area. The homes that are complete look great and I’m excited to have this new neighborhood in the area! I am working with buyers in Jefferson so I’ll be sure to take them there to check it out!

Loved our entire experience with them! Initially we worked with Annette to help pick everything out, which she made a breeze. Then the building process was incredibly easy! The builder, Aaron, was on top of every detail of our home. I felt very comfortable and safe knowing it was getting done correctly! We were able to close a few weeks earlier than expected (which was a nice surprise)! I absolutely love our home and would recommend this company to anyone!

Although I did work with some friendly people, Wade, Vickie and Chris, over all I was left with a lot of disappointment with Piedmont residential. I was a first time home buyer. Moving in, the house was filthy. Dust, mud and dried paint everywhere on the floors. Sewage pipe was crushed and we found out when our downstairs toilet overflowed while doing laundry. No water for 3 days. A/C didn’t work in the first summer due to there being more than double the amount of refrigerant in the system. Our blue tape that we put up for imperfections was mostly ignored and things were not fixed. Asking for them to be addressed later we were told they were “cosmetic” and should have been addressed before closing. The paint, trim work and walls have major imperfections and look extremely sloppy. All the interior door knobs fell off within a month. All cabinets became loose in a month. On the exterior, siding is all wavy and the paint is barely there the coat is so thin, some spots weren’t even painted. The sod they put down in January died obviously due to the cold and when spring came it was all just weeds despite treating it multiple times in early spring. Some of the positives I can speak of is the pleasant people at the closing table, Chris with warranty and Vickie in warranty. Wade was also very pleasant to work with. The included appliances in the house are decent quality and work well. The HVAC system is very quiet and energy efficient. The plumbing and electrical seem to be well done. I feel the problem is not with the people that I have spoke with but with higher ups in Piedmont residential. Consider spending more time finding a competent work force and spending the extra cent for the slightly higher quality trim piece instead of buying the absolute cheapest materials and incompetent work force. I was told new construction houses may be lower quality but this I feel is insulting considering the amount of money we paid. Quality is something Piedmont knows absolutely nothing about, they sold it all out for profit. I would not recommend buying a house from Piedmont Residential and will be making sure my next home is not built by them.
Update-
Having to replace my rear door and frame due to it rotting 2 years living in my home. Piedmont residential said the cracks in the wood were “cosmetic” when I pointed this out in walk through. 3k repair on a brand new home.

I wouldn’t let Piedmont Residential build my child a tree house let alone use them as a builder for another home. Piss poor at its finest, from top to bottom. The builder and sale associate talks just as fast as the house was put up. RUN, RUN, RUN…first time buyer mistake that I will never make again!

I would never refer anyone to this builder and I would never use them again. It’s unreal the number of issues found in a brand new home, especially when I moved in this past May. Baseboards coming up, nail pops and seams everywhere, cracks all over the place, moved in to find 2 dead trees in the front yard, even though every other home has living trees. Was told they don’t warranty trees. Are you serious, they planted dead trees to begin with. Run as fast as you can, and never look back. Sucks because of the industry I am in, I could’ve referred a lot of people.

We purchased our home second-hand, but I’m not sure that I’d have the faith to use this builder personally ever so I wanted to warn other potential customers. Buying a home is a such a huge investment and others need to know what to look for. We have had SO many issues that contractors keep telling us were oversights by the builder (home built in 2020) or were installed wrong. Our flooring was installed wrong (per professionals and the flooring manufacturer) and is coming up in many places and cracking etc. it is LVP and it was not properly installed or secured. Our kitchen island cracks me up (but also annoys the heck out of me) because it was literally secured into place crooked and very off-center. It angles to the left when facing the living room and I have no clue how a builder would be okay with that kind of work on a finished home. You’d think they’d want a finished product they could be proud of. We have had a number of HVAC/heating issues and the builder literally FORGOT to put a tray under the unit in our attic, which would have caused our entire house to get ruined (ceilings flood, wall damage, etc) if there was ever a leak. How this is missed by a builder and final inspector is beyond me. They also installed old parts on the furnace (manufacture dates going back to 2011) so we’ve had to replace and have technicians out multiple times. The only consistent thing is contractors telling us they “can’t believe the builder did that.” And that they “throw these homes up so fast.” Buyer beware. As for the builder, I hope these oversights weren’t the norm for you and that we just ended up with a bad example of your work.

Purchased a brand new home from Piedmont. Was told we had home warranties and they stand by there craftsmanship. We have had so many issues and once your 1 year warranty is up good luck getting them to respond. Newest issue pipes leaking in our front yard and you guessed it both Piedmont & 2-10 not willing to help or honor warranty. The used old poly b pipes that have been class action lawsuits since early 2000 and shouldn't have been used. Buyer beware $3500 down the drain pick a better builder your wallet will thank you
