We are very unfamiliar with the area and upon doing a research for local realtors, we came across Robin. After speaking with Robin, we decided to use her for our quest for a home. With her many years of experience, knowledge of the area and wonderful reviews, we decided to hire Robin. She is one of the most professional realtors we have ever used. Her warm personality and hardwork in helping us find and close on our home was impeccable. We were very impressed with the level of service she provided and would not hesitate to use her again. Do not sign a listing agreement with Robin. She will serve herself and whatever will make her the most money. In my situation, she wrote an offer for another party on my building, a listing she I made with her. When she presented the offer, I told her it was not in my best interest due to the terms. She insisted the buyers needed those terms and told me I had to sign the offer because it was full price. When I fired her because of poor representation, she put a lien on my building and forced 6% commission at closing to her regardless of selling with another brokerage. I think she worked with the local attorney in town to know my closing because she did it the day before I was to close. She used the language from her listing agreement, she stated she can do this for 1 year once you sign a listing with her. When I signed, I did not think this 1 year period would continue if she was terminated, but now we're in small claims court over it. Not only did she misrepresent my interests, she got paid for it. Net-net, Robin will lock you in with contractual wording that the average person won't interpret as she intends to enforce it, nor will she explain these terms when getting into business with her. When I signed the listing agreement, she sent me a docusign that I could not edit, only sign, with areas of a contract she later said I should have checked off. So much of working with Robin was misleading and borderline unethical.

Robin was so wonderful with our home purchase. She was patient with all our questions and went out of her way to be helpful. Robin is knowledgeable about the local market and was always kind and friendly. She even greeted us on moving day after our long drive with a sandwich tray for our family and friends! Robin is a good friend first of all. So that made it so much easier to use her real estate services. But, working with her revealed so much more about her expertise. She went above and beyond in helping us sell our house and then in helping us find a new home. We were moving an hour and a half away and she was still able to continue as our agent. Many times giving up her weekends to look for us. Once she knew what we were looking for she was on it. When we walked into the house that we did purchase, our group of 5 people (Robin, Tracy, my husband and daughter and myself) each went different directions in the house. After a few minutes we all met back up in the main area and we ALL said at the same time “this is it.” She knew our likes/dislikes, needs, and even wants so well that she knew when we found it.
