In July 2021 me and my wife purchase a home with 17 acres in Stockbridge,Ga. So, we contacted 4 surveyor companies to help us identify where I our property line were. The prices from the other company were insane. McCANN Land Surveyors gave me a great price!!!! Ryan and his partner came out and did a great job. And they were extremely nice and knowledgeable. When it was done and time to walk me around my property a few weeks later I met Chad the supervisor and he gave me my plat and a wonderful tour of my property. This company hands down is the best !! It was such a pleasant experience working with McCann Land Surveyors. The team sent to survey my property was very professional. Chad was the project manager, Ryan, the crew chief, and Mitch, the I-Man. They did an exceptional and very professional job and I was very pleased. My husband and I wanted to have this done for a while, but he passed away in January, but I called McCann's, and they explained the price of the layout of each cost. They came out as scheduled and did an awesome job. They surveyed from every angle they did not rush through at the end of the day when they walked me through. I was shocked because my late husband and I were unaware of how far back our property line went, I am so grateful for the two men that came out, now I can do the things we had plan to do. I would give them 10 stars. They have given me peace of mind because they stake out my property down to the inch. The office staff is wonderful and professional as well. Can't go wrong with them. The prices are well worth the investment of your property, which you worked hard to obtain.

I reached out to McCann Surveyors to talk through some options on a property survey, originally just looking to have a single boundary staked. I was quoted $2,200 for that boundary or $4,440 for the whole property and an additional $1,500 to have the plat drawn up and filed with the county. While $5,940 is a decent chunk of change, I figured it would be a buy once cry once purchase and based on the reviews suspect the work done would have been great. I sent my agreement on the price for the "full property" work, along with two questions to make sure I understood the outcome of that total option. The response I got was that the original price had been misquoted and to get the full property surveyed and submitted it would actually be an additional $5,550 for a total of $9,270. Neither of the questions were addressed. It certainly could be chalked up to an honest mistake but feels much more like a "FU" price, in which case I would have appreciated transparency about not being interested in the work. My response noted as much and I declined to move forward; I did not get a follow up from there.

I ultimately reached out to Ironstone Surveying, who quoted me $4,400 flat to have the same "full property" work done along with submission of the updated plat to the county.

Another reviewer also noted a high price relative to their expectations, with an 'Owner Response' suggesting a budget issue. I want to clarify mine is an issue with a flippant increase of ~50% and seeming silent acceptance of it being an attempt to avoid the job, not a "budget" issue from my side.
