We met with Daryl five years ago on recommendation of our real estate agent. This turned out to be one of the best reasons to deal with an agent. Her expertise and connections proved very valuable and Daryl was no exception.
He met at a time convenient for us in his modern office and took all the time needed to explain the ins and outs of the many mortgage options available. Despite his easy going style (or was it because of?) he excuded a confidence that helped us make a very well-informed decision.
Now, five years later and time for renewal, Daryl once more agreed to meet with us and went over the options in a changed financial market. Surprisingly to us, brokers do not benefit directly in a financial way to steer clients to one lender or another.
The fact that he took time to help out his clients without getting direct compensation speaks volumes of Daryl's commitment to his clients and his character.
