As a first time home buyer trying to purchase a house in 2023 with the high interest rates, there are several things Matthew did that set him apart from other mortgage brokers we've talked to, which made our experience infinitely better.

- He educated us on the cost-benefit analysis of rate buy-down to help us make an informed decision
- He acted with integrity and transparency the whole way through, we trusted him 100% in the process. He did not sugarcoat or intentionally hide fees to make his estimates "better" which we've experienced with several others.
- He helped us secure the first-time home-buyer incentive when other lenders did not consider or advocate for that on our behalf
- He looked into both of our credit scores and came up with ways to help us secure the best interest, while educating us on the pros and cons of each option
- He diligently followed up every step of the way to ensure our loan process is approved quickly and smoothly
- When the interest rate dipped for a bit, he acted in our best interest to ensure we have the best rate possible (with the information available at the time)

We shopped around a lot for mortgage brokers, some would hide fees in their estimates, some would not be very transparent, some would hide FHA loan even though we did not ask for it, and there are a handful that were good but no one went the extra mile like Matthew did. He did a lot of finessing on our behalf to ensure we had the best possible deal for our situation.
