After using a mortgage company in Los Angeles to purchase my home, I was less than thrilled with their customer service, explanations and transparency. We refinanced and it went really well. Then we refinanced AGAIN and it went really well AGAIN! Excellent support from Brian, Laura and Michael. They answered all my questions satisfactorily, usually in matter of minutes. On occasions I needed to speak with Brian or Laura, I was always able to speak with them over the phone each time. Never had to call back.

Buying a house at this time (April-May 2021) in California is nothing short of blood sport. Working with community first mortgage was the only thing that brought smile and comfort to us in this process.

They were able to get loan approval in 2 days after document submission. We requested a last minute change to the loan document (adding impounds) on the closing day, and they worked with the lender (underwriters) to update the whole loan document in less than an hour and get it approved so we could close the same day.

Thank you Neil and Alex for making the mortgage process surprisingly stress-free. Community First had the best rates and they were very forthcoming about all the fees associated with the home purchase. Other lenders I talked to were not as forthcoming about disclosing rates and fees. In addition, both Neil (loan officer) and Alex (loan processor) were very informative, responsive, and kind when we had questions or wanted clarification about the process. I highly highly recommend working with Community First if you want to get the best of both worlds: great rates and stellar customer service.
