This rental company is by far the worst I have ever rented from! When I initially met with Cathy Matter at the property to view. She walked me through the home and pointed out everything that they would fix. On move in day NOTHING was done that she said would be. They carpets were cleaned but still had red, blue and black stains all through the house. The house hadn't been cleaned and I had to go through and clean everything before I could move in. Base boards were gross, Light bulbs missing in every room, blinds missing half the slats, the yards had not been "manicured" like I was, the dryer left by the previous tenant sat on the front porch for 10 days, The back deck is rotten and falling through so it can't be used at all, can't open and close the back door to even access the back porch if you wanted to and the gates to the back yard are falling off the hinges! Let's not mention the Fridge went out in the first few days and they refused to fix or replace it even though it came with the house. They were quick to come pick up the broken fridge and the dryer after I let them know I had someone picking them both up that day bc I was tired of them sitting on the front porch... It's been 21 days since I moved in now and I've sent Cathy several emails tried to call her many times with no response or call back, I've placed work orders on their " renters portal" that have still gone unanswered to include a leaking sink I had to pay to have fixed. Mary who works in their office contacted the owner about the fridge but informed me I would have to wait on Cathy for the other items, even though shes also sent a few emails to Cathy for me asking that she call me and still haven't heard from her. I can understand that some things may take time to fix but communicate that with me instead of ignoring my calls or emails so I know what's going on. SO BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE RENTING FROM THEM. Make sure everything is done before you hand over your money after that you won't be able to get anything done. I'm only giving one star because I can't post this without it but they have not earned a single one.

We were in the process of renting a house through Cathy Matter. Before we paid our $70 application fee, we had her assistant Mary contact the owner of the house to explain our financial situation to which the owner advised to go ahead and put in an application. As I went by their office on a Friday to pay the $70 with Mary contacting me on the following Monday to get additionally information from me in order to complete the process to provide to the owner, the house was in the process of being sold. I would like to add Cathy never advised any of this to her assistant Mary. Most likely so that we would be a back up plan if the sell fell through. As I am a single mother, which was why one of the reasons of me asking the realtor to speak with the owner first before I paid $70 for nothing. And it is not just that, the fact I've been waiting for over a week for a move in date not knowing she was in negotiations with someone to purchase the house and I was just a back up plan.

I set an appointment up with Cathy Matter to view the home and she didn't show. She has ignored every call since I made the appointment. I am glad she has shown her true colors prior to us renting from them. We definitely dodged a big bullet. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PLACE OR AGENT. Huge disappointment!

Run far away from this place. They lack basic comprehension skills. You will never see your deposit because they will find any little thing to keep it from you. We are literally being charged for a stove that never worked and is in the lease agreement that it doesn’t work. This is an awful place and I will be filing with the BBB.

My wife and I met with Chris Mcneil of Remax to look at a home in Semmes that we were looking to rent. He obviously was not ready to rent the house because he was there doing repairs and renovations while we were looking at it. We were very interested and were hoping to get into it until he told us that he was a bail bondsman in addition and the people that he bailed out would come in and work on the houses. We were a little uncomfortable with that fact but were still considering it regardless because we figured him being a realtor, he wouldn't do anything to jeopordize his professional licences. We did have some credit issues but had a cosigner in place. Also, money was not an issue because my wife and I both are self employed and earn a good living. He told us he would need a copy of our drivers licenses and our social security numbers, which was understandable. After we gave him the info he needed, we reached out to him on numerous occasions because our cosigner is moving with us and she wanted to look at the house too. After several attempts, he did not respond to any communications and never followed up with any of us. At this point, we feel this company has inexperienced, unreliable and questionable agents working for them. We would definitely urge people to seek elsewhere for rental properties!
