Love it! People should know this is a motel - there aren't services here and since the town is a small country town without all the conveniences of a big city, you need to know that ahead of time and plan for it (check the store and restaurant days and hours - bring your own snacks).
But the place is amazing. I love that the rooms and bathrooms are squeaky clean, internet access and very friendly staff. Self-check-in is awesome since I can never get there until late.
2nd time I've stayed and will stay again - it's a hidden gem!

Loved this little place! It was very cutely decorated, and both the room and bed were comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean, and i appreciated that they had a small hair dryer available for use. The ceramic piece of the handle in our shower was cracked and a bit wobbly, but it still worked fine so it was clearly just cosmetic. I 100% hope to be able to come back and stay here again!

The room was a bit small, but I knew that from the photos, and we were out all day, so it didn’t matter much to us.
The staff was extremely friendly, made us feel welcome.
Great location for exploring nature, but not many food options. We expected this and drove 20 minutes to Nevada for dinner and saw some great views during the drive.
The only issue was there is a wall furnace and the pilot light put out a significant amount of heat, making it hard to fall asleep.
I would definitely stay here again, and just keep the window open (very safe area) to air it out more.

This is our 3rd time booking at Creekside for weekend ski trip and we love it, it’s clean, cozy, and the self check in and out is so convenient. The owner called us ahead of time to let us know about limited dining options during the MLK weekend and advised to make a reservation at Stonefly next door, and I’m glad we did. Would definitely come back again!

The rooms are very nice, well lit, clean, excellent heaters, clean and well equipped bathrooms and the manager was very helpful. Its located right across the street from two very good restaurants, Stonefly for dinners, Upcountry Cafe for breakfast and lunch. One of the best places we have stayed in along the Sierra Nevada.

This past weekend, my fiancée and I had the incredible opportunity to stay at the Lodge for our very first trip together, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, Mr. Todd, the Property Manager, made it his mission to ensure our stay was as seamless and enjoyable as possible. Since we were attending a wedding nearby and were unfamiliar with the area, his local recommendations truly enhanced our visit. He pointed us to a delightful restaurant just across the street, making it easy for us to enjoy a meal without the hassle of travel.

Initially, we had booked a one-night stay, but when our plans changed unexpectedly, I reached out to Mr. Tim, the Property Owner, to see if we could extend our reservation. He was exceptionally kind and accommodating, effortlessly adjusting our booking to allow for an additional night. As our trip approached, I had a few questions, and once again, I found myself speaking with Mr. Todd. His extensive knowledge of the area and genuine willingness to help eased any concerns I had as a first-time traveler.

We arrived a bit ahead of schedule, and to our delight, Mr. Todd informed us that our room was ready. This was a huge relief, as we needed to check in early to prepare for the wedding festivities. He graciously showed us around the lodge, pointing out the cozy vending area and providing us with a layout of the facilities. A lovely staff member joined him, and together they made us feel right at home.

Now, let’s talk about the room! It was a perfect blend of comfort and charm, with rustic farmhouse décor that added a warm, inviting feel. The bed was a dream—so incredibly comfortable that I found myself wishing I could spend the entire day lounging in it! The bathroom was stocked with an abundance of soft, freshly laundered towels, a thoughtful touch that we truly appreciated. Additionally, the basket of toiletries, which included shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower caps, and makeup removing wipes, was a delightful surprise.

Overall, we fell in love with the Lodge. The attention to detail, combined with the warmth and hospitality from Mr. Todd and the team, made our stay unforgettable. We can't recommend this place highly enough to anyone looking for a cozy getaway. We’re already discussing plans for another visit, perhaps to celebrate our anniversary! Thank you once again, Mr. Todd, for your exceptional hospitality during what could have been a hectic weekend. We can’t wait to return!

Shout out to Todd and Joanne for the cheery welcome and concern for our needs.
Our western themed room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bathroom had a tub and shower. The Wi-Fi worked well.
There's a wonderful coffee / breakfast place diagonally across the road as well a restaurant serving excellent dinners from 4:30 pm - 9:00 pm.

When I arrived the room was very clean and just the right temperature. Tod, Joanne and Tim all checked to make sure Al was well during my short stay, which was very impressive. Great place to go to nearby fishing spots!
