When getting my home loan I worked with a team in D.C. and they were wonderful. I have since sold my condo and went through their special loans team for loan assumption. My loan process was handled by a team outside of D.C. in the midwest, and there are no words for how painful they made the process. They refuse to take phone calls. They refuse to give you an email for the employee handling your loan. You will only receive an org box email that is maybe checked once every other day. What should have been handled in 3 months, took 6. Every time I called to request a callback I had to speak to a new receptionist who could only say we'll put in a request for someone to call you back, and then they would never call back. After I closed and all legal documents were submitted, they didn't update the information, and still kept the home loan in my name and I had to speak to a lawyer.
