Evergreen Dorrington Chalet - Camp Connell, California

Rented the cabins for our annual snow trip. Great location close to skiing and sledding. However, the real gem was the beautiful property, great amenities, and accommodating hosts. It was clean, tastefully decorated. We had a great time!

This place was big enough for 13 of us - 9 adults and 4 kids. Having two cabins was great for that and it was a short walk between the two. There was something for everyone! They had a pack and play and high chair for the baby, lots of books, movies and games for the kiddos, comfy beds for all. The game room was a wonderful distraction for the kids. There were sleds and other snow things. The espresso machine and hot tub was a hit for the adults.

Big thanks to our hosts Chelsea and Bobby. They were great communicators - from extending our stay to letting us know where the coffee filters were. We’ll definitely be back!

The entire family-pups included had a lovely stay here. The cottage was clean and comfortable and you cannot beat the location when you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area.

Fantastic cabin, great location.
All the amenities you could ask for, and more. Kitchen is well stocked, beds are comfortable, and the game room is a lot of fun. And everything was clean!
The hosts are responsive, informative, and very nice to work with.
I highly recommend…just not at a time when I want to visit! 😂

We had such a wonderful time staying at Evergreen Dorrington Chalet that we didn't want to leave! It felt like home. We wanted for nothing during our stay. One could tell that a lot of thought and planning had gone into anticipating the guests' needs. The kitchen had every single dish, utensil and pot imaginable for preparing home-made meals, it even contained a salad-spinner! There were iPhone chargers available, shampoo and body wash in every bathroom. There were books to read, DVDs galore! The game room was a lot of fun. My favorite place to be was on the deck, enjoying the view of the magnificent trees surrounding the house. The chalet is in a great location! Although it felt like being in the middle of a forest, far away from civilization, it was a very short drive away from Arnold with it's supermarket and small shops and cafes and White Pines Lake, which turned out to be a great spot to go fishing and kayaking. The chalet is less than a half hour away from Lake Alpine, one of the most gorgeous lakes I have ever seen! We cannot wait to go back to Dorrington and stay at the chalet again soon!

Host was supper responsive and helpful. We stayed here with 13 teenagers and 6 adults for a church youth group get away. It was perfect for that many people and everyone had plenty of room.

We were so pleased with our stay and so appreciative of the great communication with the hosts. The cabin is cozy, well equipped, ( loved all the convenient charging cords) and a great location for what we wanted. Our 3 year old grandson had a blast and it was so fun to see him experience snow for the first time. Our dog, Rugie, also saw snow for the first time and he was very excited to find a dog box full of doggy goodies and even doggy bowls! Additionally he finally met a dog toy that he couldn't destroy in 5 minutes, That red bone is awesome.

The "library" and games were wonderful and my daughter-in-law ( from Brazil) was introduced to PacMan for the first time. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and we were so happy to spend time together and also have our space.

My only suggestion would be to have a King size bed in one of the rooms. ( after 36+ years of marriage, we need a little more room.)

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us and my daughter-in-law is already talking about going again next year.

I had a fantastic time at Evergreen Dorrington Chalet. I have rented several cabins in the area and this was definitely the best one yet. The cabin was immaculate and the hosts have really thought of everything to make the stay enjoyable. The host was very responsive and inviting which is always a plus. The game room in the detached garage was a huge bonus as it gave the kids a separate space to be loud without making the cabin too loud. There were many other things at the cabin (kayaks, and park passes) included in the rental that we didn't get to take advantage of, but I definitely plan to stay here again in the summer months.
