We had a great experience building our home with Stone Martin. My husband has experience with construction and everything is solid. They stay in the timeline predicted. The few concerns we had during the process was immediately addressed. Our experience with them was nothing less than professional. We had some problems with the dehumidifier and they were right there and resolved everything. Based on our experience and compared with the experience and nightmare with other builders, we fully recomend Stone Martin.

First, the wrong flooring was put down. They had to replace it. We paid for upgraded trim. They installed a lower grade. After replacing it ,the paint job was very messy. Finishing work was horrible. On the last inspection, there were several cabinets that had large cracks, gaos, and chips. They just putted and painted over it. The white pvc sewage pipe in our front yard sticks up 5-6" above the sod. Therefore, we have to weed eat around it. It's too high for the mower to pass over it.The roof leaked within weeks of us moving in because of a vent improperly capped. I would never use these builders again.

I have purchased over 10 homes, some were over 60 years old. Our Stone Martin home was the first brand new home we have ever purchased and to say we are disappointed would be an understatement. We have had more awful surprises in a Stone Martin home than with all the other homes combined.
1. Roof leaked within 3 weeks of moving in and water gushed out of the attic onto our new floors. According to Stone Martin Builders not a big deal and still haven't explained what happened and if it was fixed properly. Supposedly they did the work. A brand new home and the roof is leaking and they have the nerve to say not a big deal.
2. They flipped the whole design where our garage was supposed to be according to the documents we signed. They did not tell us about the change but threw it in an email with a bunch of other documents.
3. Built our porch 8 inches higher than the design showed on documents we signed. Had to tear the whole thing down.
4. Garage door is busted so we have been manually lifting our garage door on a brand new $550k house for weeks as they try and figure out the problem. Neither flood light outside works in the back. They told me to get a ladder and screw in the bulbs and they would light right up. I did. The lights don't work.
5. Shower in master bath leaks every time I take a shower. They said they fixed it. It's not fixed.
6. Cold water valve not working in laundry room. Every cycle is hot and painters painted right over valves so I'm sure small traces of paint get into every load. They said they would fix. They haven't.
7. Nails sticking up in carpet from tack strips when you walk in bedrooms.

These are just some of the issues we have dealt with. Get a higher quality builder to build your new home. These surprises are not worth it.
